I'd say there was no chance at all, he knows he's hit the form of his life and will look elsewhere for CL football
Plus his contribution has not gone unnoticed... he saw what happened with Fabregas so I'm guessing he'd want to avoid a drawn out transfer and leave with the respect he's earned from winning Arsenal 20-odd points single handedly.

He'll only leave if we let him go. Arsenal have pretty much all the leverage in this situation unlike previous ones.

To say he's won all those points single handedly is silly. Without the excellent deliveries of Sagna and Song on Sunday, he wouldn't have scored. Walcott has also provided him with numerous tap-ins all season.
