LFC just confirmed that Lucas is out for the season with a ruptured ACL. Gutted, been our best player over the last 18 months.
Reckon we should try to sign somebody on loan in January. Maybe Keita from Barca is available for 6 months seeing as though they have Busquets and Mascherano...

Some quotes from RedandWhiteKop:
Thae's the great thing about cups. Imagine being a Cardiff or Palace supporter and facing Liverpool at Wembley. I sort of envy them the experience, even as losers.Seriously tho, The Kop will be the key to this one, make a champions league out of this and the noise alone will score us 2 before half time
we had better teams coming to anfield in the champions league leaving them humiliated at full time1 Whole year of European nights stuffed into one game at Anfield. The King at the helm, a glorious weekday night.... being deadly serious City will have never ever in their history experienced an atmosphere like it. Could seriously scare the **** out of them.I think this is what we'll aim for, just attack the **** out of at the COMS, get a draw there and then, as we all know we can do anyone at home.
Yeah, they can do anyone at home. Apart from City, United, Swansea, Norwich and sunderland. So far.
They actually believe that their 'famous Anfield atmosphere' is anything more than average, don't they?

Man City's first team played Liverpool on the weekend. Only one of those players started on Tuesday and that was Nasri. It's not my fault that your best midfielder that your manager would shit chips to keep is a borderline reserve player on our squad.
In any case if you're going to count Aguero as a first team player then you had Vermaelon, Arse-Shavin and Gervinho who came on as subs. City played Hargreaves, Zabaleta, Pantillimon, Onouha, Kolo Toure, Kolorov and Savic, none of whom are regular first team players along with perennial sub Johnson and the largely absent De Jong. Nine players who haven't been getting regular first team football. Arse started Ping Pong, Koscielny and Benayoun who are all regular starters on the first team.
So yeah, if Arse were playing their reserves then City were playing their reserves as well.
Two shots on target. Arsenal managed three. City managed nine shots in the game, Arsenal managed ten. You know you can check this stuff right?
Arsenal had 1 player in the starting 11 that could be considered a regular. Koscielny.
Arsenal team: Fabianski, Djourou, Koscielny, Squillaci, Miquel, Frimpong, Coquelin, Benayoun, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Park, Chamakh.
It's true he did say that. Then he said "But we didn't want to win that ****** cup anyway, it sucks."
Saying City started just as much or even more a reserve team is just plain ****** and no one except your fellow fans will think about agreeing with. The gulf in overall experience and in playing time this season was huge.
Wenger didnt say that. Simple that the league was more important. Keep twisting his words if you want.
