I'm another that is never too worried about Hernandez if I see his name on the teamsheet. As long as you don't give him space in your own 6 yard box then he'll have precisely zero effect on the game and that's no exaggeration. He's like a young Owen but without the ability to take a player on or to create an opportunity without help from his team mates.

Hope he starts in the derby because so far in 4 games against us he's done **** all. I'd be a helluva lot more worried about Berbatov (who always performs well against us I've thought), put it that way.

I think the biggest judge of Hernandez's worth would be his teammates and their assessment of him - players who have always stated the importance of having him on the field and occupying the defenders, dragging them away from the ball and creating space for Rooney and co. Look at the goals other United players score when JH is playing you'll see the exact reason why he was picked to start ahead of Berba last season.

He has more impact off the ball. Oh and the goals are an added bonus too

Exactly. It wasn't an insult i was just stating the fact that he's young and you don't usually get those kind of skills or knowledge of the game till you get a bit older.

I am a big fan of Welbeck he looks very good for his age, i just think offensively we are more of a threat when we play Hernandez due to his movement and you know he will finish an opportunity if he gets one.
Hernandez is proven to be world class, Welbeck has a way to go yet so right now i think Chicharito should be starting games.
