I used to think the argument of having the national stadium in the middle of the country was valid, but to be fair Northerners never seem to be as into the national team as much as Southerners, and nobody cares about the people in between because they sound really boring and nobody can be bothered to listen to them.

It is a bastard for the Manchester fans though, expensive day out, and a huge waste of fuel.
