But Im talking about in general. Look at their assists for example. Ronaldo never plays the kind of defence splitting passes that Messi does. And Messi was excellent in the 5-0 game despite not scoring. His pass for Villa is something Ronaldo could never do.
Ronaldo has had some nice assists but i agree that in terms of passing, messi is better.

Barca play a passing game though, even players like Keita who arent that good get nice assists because the team passes so much and breaks the defence of their opponent down.

I agree that as a play maker, Messi >>>> Ronaldo

And it's not just United. Tottenham send over Freddy Kanoute after really under performing in the Premier League and then he's suddenly having 20+ goal seasons. And it's not just 1 season they are consistently scoring these many goals over many seasons.
Good points but I think its more horses for courses. Certain players are more suited to playing in certain leagues. It doesnt neccesarily make one better than the other.

I do think the Spanish league is a bit of a two team league at the moment though but its probably down to the fact that Real Madrid and Barca are so good rather than the rest being really *****.

Premier League>>>La Liga that's for sure

English teams don't care about Europa league. Man City easilly had the talent to win it this year but didn't really try hard enough.
You must have heard Harry Redknapp talking about it the other day, when he said he'd rather drop down a place and let Liverpool take 5th so that Spurs didn't have to enter the Europa league.

What such pathetic excuse. When all fails, they revert to the “They don’t care” routine

Of course, they care. With every advancement through the tournament it brings them more money and a step closer to history. Redknapp said that because most of his stars will be leaving at the year’s end and he knows with his depleted squad he isn’t going to do anything in the Europa league.

Middle clubs teams in the La Liga have been winning the Europa league, while the “more competitive” English clubs have been constantly knocked out.

If the EPL is a much competitive league, then there middle club teams should be dominated the Europa league, it’s that simple

Barca are the best team in the world by far, Madrid are decent too but United could beat them, an on form Chelsea could probably beat them too. They have a top 2, England has a top 4 and possibly a top 5 or 6 next season depending on how teams strengthen in the summer.
Barcelona and Madrid are the two best teams in the world by far, if they were in the EPL they would finish second and first. While EPL teams would failed to ever win the title in the more technical advanced league such as the La Liga.

Manchester City will certainly not beat Villareal or Valencia, regardless of their squad

At least Villareal made the Semi finals, where was City? They were knocked out weak Ukrainian. Valencia outplayed United twice when they meant in the UCL group stages. That 4-1 win is meaningless since it was a dead rubber

At the end of the day, La Liga has more UCL titles, better record at Europa league recently and have the best players in the world currently. And more World players of the year award winners

Messi is just a better overall player. A more intelligent player. I can almost gurantee Ronaldo will be shot to pieces in a few years. He's kinda like Roy Jones. Once his legs start to go, he'll be much less effective. Messi could play in midfield once his legs go because he has the intelligence to do it.

Hleb went from key player for Arsenal to not even fit for the bench at Barca.

Henry flopped his first season at Barca.

Most EPL players arent skilled enough for La Liga anyway. Forlan flopped at United, and became a top scorer like 4 years after that in La Liga. that doesnt prove anything. And Rossi??? LMAO how old was he when he was playing at United? 18?

You cant say that Pique is only better because of the league. He plays well at the highest level in Champions League and for Spain. Fergie didnt know how to get out his true potential. He even used him as a fullback LOL

Hleb and Henry flopped in La Liga.. FACT!

Alonso was also much better in Liverpool than in Real. Same with Beckham.

The best player in the EPL this season was Nani, he would struggle to make Barcelona or Madrid’s bench yet alone starting 11

                  How is Ronaldo not intelligent?

Most of his goals are tap ins. Tap in goals require the most intelligence because you have to be at the right place and make the right runs. Ronaldo is a winger and has scored more goals than games played for his team, has no other player in history even done that?

                  He is mad intelligent.

Im not saying hes not intelligent. But I wouldnt say thats his defining attribute. Hes explosive and clinical. He may have a future as an out and centre forward. But hes not intelligent enough to play the kind of roles Messi can.

These are all ****** points. When a top English manager says he doesn't want to compete in the tournament it shows you the level of commitment England has to the Europa league, pretty much none whatsoever. If Man City really wanted to win Europa this year they would have. But they wanted fourth place in the Premier League more.

"Barca and Madrid would finish 2nd and 1st in the PL"
That's purely you're opinion and you have no facts to back that up whatsoever.

"Valencia and Villareal would beat Man City"
Again, purely your biased opinion with no facts behind it.

"the 4-1 win was meaningless it was a dead rubber"
Fair point, but United still won the first leg 2-0 away from home, how did Valencia do?

"La Liga has more UCL titles"
Again another meaningless point. First of all La Liga only has 1 more European cup than England. Secondly, Serie A has the same amount of European trophies as La Liga, but that doesn't make it good right now.
