The only thing that disappointed about yesterday's game is the praise for Gareth Barry from commentators, for about 20 minutes he seemed hell-bent on scoring an O.G or at least putting Hart under enough pressure with a back pass that he hit a Ghana player with his clearance.

I blame a lot of England players for the WC, but I blame old concrete boots Barry the most, he is far too slow to consider crossing the halfway line. That said Lamps should retire too, no point in playing a bit part for an ailing England team in transition.

Yep he was to blame for 2 goals vs Germany.. i loled when the British press seemed so happy to have him back from injury. Lescott is another one just not good enough he got owned by Gyan multiple times and would surely get a red in a real game for that many fouls.

Other then that good performance.. no Terry, Rio, Cole, Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney etc.. The defense would be alot more solid with the first 3 back. Pisses me off that Capello couldn't even get us 1st in the group no doubt we would blast through Ghana/Uruguay.. we really missed a trick there.

Real Madrid defender Garay chasing move to Lyon


Olympique Lyon are being linked with Real Madrid defender Ezequiel Garay.
A source close to the player says Garay wants to leave Real and has received interest from Lyon.
"Garay wants to leave," the source told Fichajes.com.
"He dreams of playing for Argentina and the coach has asked him to find a team where he can play more regularly.
"Italy and Germany like the player, but he has told me that Ligue 1 is one of the best options.
"Lyon are interested, but they're not the only ones from France ..."

He's alright I think he's like 23 or 24. I've seen him play a couple times, he's pretty good but nothing mind blowing tbh just an average defender.

I could see why he would want to leave as he doesn't get much play time. He isn't going to beat out pepe or carvalho. He ain't beating out albiol who is basically back up CB, and if another CB is need Mou puts Ramos in that position and throws Arbeloa on the other wing at times.

He played couple games last season but he really hasn't played much at all this season.

Unless lyon are having some major defensive issues I see no reason to sign Garay. Especially for over 10m.

He use to be good in Racing. He scored a decent amount of goals for a defender but he got pretty ass when he went to Madrid, sorta like Gago.

He doesnt get enough playing time to shw us his true potential. Just like Benzema, who ****** for 1 and a half season but suddenly started scoring when he got playing time ( because Higuain was injured)

Didn't he play for Villarreal or something? He was very good for them hence why Real Madrid signed him. Don't follow La Liga too closely so don't know the full story as to why he didn't make it at Real Madrid. Signing Pepe, Raul Abidol and Carvalho didn't help his cause. From what i saw of him at Villarreal i have no doubt he could do a good job for any La Liga team.

Don't think he should move to France tough. I look at the French League as semi-retirement. Lyon are a decent team but other than that the talent pool is really small as the good players head to England at a pretty young age.

Well Lyon are in need of a defender Cris has been showing his age this season and Corinthians tried to sign him last year so I think he will return to Brazil in the summer.

Diakhate is on loan and hasn't done anything noteworthy I expect him to return to Dynamo Kiev when his loan runs out.

Which just leaves us with Dejan Lovren who has been superb and is only 21. Perhaps he and Garay could form a nice duo in the centre of defense. At this point anyone is an upgrade over Cris.
