England had a very good bid i think

Oddly the highest risk countries got the world cups

America had a brilliant technical bid aswell..

Apparently the Aussie media is going mad cause they only got 1 vote and Blatter convinced them to continue to bid a while back.. saying they had a good chance.

There's so much wrong with what happened yesterday, Russia getting a World Cup is ridiculous they don't have the stadiums to host it and it's **** conditions for football. Even people from Russia have come out and said we don't have the stadiums and also after the WC when they have actually built/increased the capacity of the stadiums they have no need for 45,000+ stadiums because the average attendance is only 30,000 for a game. No doubt ***** put in a couple of backhanders to Fifa execs. He didn't even turn up to the thing, he said he would only turn up if they won and they did so that's even more su****ious!

The BBC and Sunday Times definatley had a say in us getting ****ed though. Obviously they don't want the country to do well and are just trying to get a bit of publicity, but was it really worth it? The BBC Panorama program was done on purpose so it would be fresh in everyones memories a few days before the vote, how ****** can you get?! It was about bribes that happened in the 90's. First of all nobody cares, we all just want the goddamn World Cup. Secondly, it's no secret that Fifa loves a bit of corruption so well done to the BBC for pointing out the obvious.

Finally, even if we did get shafted, why would Russia get the vote over better hosts like Spain/Portugal. Such a better place to have a World Cup with world class stadiums, much more passionate fans and obviously much better weather conditions.
FIFA do not care about what you have put in place. England by far had the better facilities, more robust transport, better staduims, and the potential to sell out every game which would have made them mega money in the process. FIFA and the board absolutely detest England, this was painted in black and white after the vote! I feel bad for Beckham, William, Cameron, who had tryed everything in their power to secure the WC in England. No matter what they done prior to the vote, it was already decided who was going to host the WC.

FIFA is just one big farce with corrupted people running it that have pure hatred for England as a country. They are eastern block supporters.

It makes me laugh the way they try and tell us what the laws of the game are, which they have changed, like the offside rule, I mean its our! game, we invented it, where do these ****** foreign ****s get off telling us what the rules of our game are, or should be?

England invented the game yet it's run by foreigners, it's tragic!

I mean seriously, i'm not bitter that Russia got the nod, I think they will make a good WC, and taken into consideration they've never hosted one, fair play to them. BUT the voting was just ridiculous. 2 votes out of a possible 22? and England were meant to be a top contender taken into consideration our infrastructure compared to other countries. England were done over yesterday, at the hands of an inept organization. I will say it again 2 VOTES? It's absurd that a top contender get's that amount of votes, but that's only down to the wavered FIFA governing body that showed they're hatred by voting yesterday with England not even making it to the later stages.

LOOK, if it was CLOSE then I have no problems with Russia winning but it's the manner in which they done it that baffles me. It's remarkable how Russia blew England out of the water, knowing this was going to be a close call.

Yeah, England were there to make up the numbers, to both make it look less inevitable that they had already decided, and to give them a slap in the face to say, you fools, you actually thought your were going to get it?

Looks that way! I had to giggle at Beckham, William, Cameron, it was like a smack in the face after all they're input!! England were never guaranteed to win, everyone just thought it was going to be a close call with a possibility of them winning that was all. To bad the Mafia had to get involved to influence the final decision!!

What must be more annoying for them, is that quite a while back, Fifa told them to step up their game, to stop acting arrogant, to stop acting like it was a forgone conclusion they were going to get it.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini aims to offload six of Mark *Hughes’s signings next month.

Mancini’s position at Eastlands has reportedly been undermined by claims many of the squad he inherited still wanted Hughes in charge.

Hughes, now manager at Fulham, spent more than ?20million on new players in 2009 before being sacked a year ago.

But Mancini, the man who replaced him at *Eastlands, is determined to move on at least six of Hughes’ loyalists in January after a number of bust-ups.

The Italian has told Joleon Lescott, Wayne Bridge, Shay Given, Roque Santa Cruz, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Emmanuel Adebayor they can leave and have told other clubs of their availability.

That is likely to see City write off another huge chunk of cash to move them on either *permanently or on loan.

Hughes spent ?2million on Lescott, ?2m on Bridge, ?m on Given, ?8m on Santa Cruz, ?m on Wright-Phillips and ?5m on Adebayor – who have hardly featured in the Premier League this season under Mancini.

In agreeing to pay most of Craig Bellamy’s wages while loaning him to Cardiff, City have shown they are willing to accept big losses.
Honestly wouldn't mind Shay Given in Arsenal. We need a keeper!
