Loan Ranger set for exit
Newcastle United, 17:00, July 30, 2010
Leeds United are hoping to lure young striker Nile Ranger from Newcastle United on a season-long loan deal.
Whites boss Simon Grayson wants Ranger as cover for striker Billy Paynter at Elland Road, who will miss the start of the Championship season with injury.
The 19-year-old, who made the breakthrough into the Toon first-team last season, will be allowed to join a Championship side if the right club came in for him and boss Chris Hughton may view Leeds as the ideal place to continue his footballing education.
Burnley and Preston are also thought to be keen on the striker.
