if lewa had scored against bayern in 1st half would have been a very different game. raphinha with open space is so dangerous.

Bayern will be fine. They're going to win the league and make champions league semi's anyways..
As for Chelsea though. That was an interesting first day for Potter. It took me a while to catch on to it but he really pulled out the Sir Alex Ferguson 4-3-3.
Asymmetrical. One winger playing pseudo forward. The other winger wide near the flank. Then you're midfield 3 with one seeming playing like a wide mid between the half space with one fullback pure defense and the other given liberty to run up the flank.
To be honest, it was a pleasant surprise to me. Something other than typical Chelsea so to speak.
But without a doubt, I think Pulisic or Ziyech should play in place of Havertz for that role. They provide way more offensive firepower than Havertz and especially Mount.
Either mirror the formation or swap Sterling to play the wing-forward (Ronaldo role) and let Pulisic or Ziyech play the Hargreaves/ Giggs role on the other flank. Not Sterling playing the Giggs/ Hargreaves role.

That Chelsea team is so f.ucking boring it is gonna see off a few managers.
I am grateful they still exist like and they are my team but this team specfically I don't care if I miss their matches. I don't really like many of the players. There is no characters in there.
Need to blow all next summers budget on Rice. Sterling is a start
Stop buying players unless they are robust, resillient men.
A lot of them are just really weak men. Simple as that.
What could anyone do with Pulisic and Ziyech? We would be better of sacking them than being desperate ans trying to bring them off the bench. They both need a break from football and a shrink.Last edited by Sparked_26; 09-19-2022, 07:49 AM.StarshipTrooper likes this.

Genuinely seen 1 goal this season open play from Chelsea and no England.
Truly AIDS footy. I would take Chelsea getting twatted at this stage.

They'll bounce back next year, but this season they just look mediocre AF. In other news, PSGs front line looks like a well oiled machine this year. Not hearing the booing and hissing from the fans this time around.
PSG always look this way. They always run France and they have the highest cost team in world footy. They are more expensive than even PL clubs. The next best club? Have a wage structure and spending ability that would place them ~16th in the PL table. PSG essentially play PL relegation favorites all season.

on a side note:.
For Chelsea, I think Potter (or any manager) needs to take the emotion out of it. If that is done, watch this team come good. I think every manager post Conte invested in too much emotion.
Conte won the league and told Costa to do one since he wasn’t committed to winning. That’s how much he invested in emotions over being rational.
Sari got too attached to his “system” and first 11 players. Blinded him and made us stale.
Lampard told the club to do one and focused on Mount becoming him. Naivety at its finest.
Tuchel told the players and club to do one and made it his rule or get casted out; zero man management. Arrogance at its finest.
If Potter can take out the emotion. He will make this team fly. If he gets attached to Mount’s teacher’s pet nature. Or think he’s some tactics guru. Or some snobbish response to player’s input. He’ll be dull like the rest.Last edited by F l i c k e r; 09-25-2022, 02:56 PM.
