Wild, I found out that Olise was in Chelsea's academy. Lol
I also read Eriksen has agreed to join Manchester United. Smh

Raheem Sterling on his way to Chelsea. Completed his medical.
Eze is already back, he played the second half of last season but you could tell his explosiveness was not all the way there yet, which is normal for achilles injuries. Started to come on the final month or so though and I suspect he has a big year ahead. Think he'll soak up most of the minutes at the 10 (played a good bit on the wing after returning last year) and I expect Olise to really take a stranglehold on his spot and take another big step forward. Ideally I'd love to have another good 8 (no replacing Gallagher unfortunately) and a stud RB, but we'll make due with Ward and Clyne there. Aside from that, the question will be what do we get out of the striker position. That probably determines whether we are fighting for a top 10 spot or trying to make a push for Europe. Think we are still likely a year or 2 away from that. Can't have any injuries to Andersen or Guehi at CB though or we could be in trouble if we don't make any more additions there.

Really looking forward to the prem this year, talent across the league just gets better and better every season.

Wonder if Palace would take Billy on loan?

He's class. Norwich were just a completely uncompetitive team and then when Farke they reverted to that Burnley style of trying to stop any football happening and s.hithousing.

Good news that Burnley went down.

Hopefully they never come back. If Barca are credited with playing from the bag Burnley have dispelled the believe that small teams can't sh.ithouse, put pressure on referees, and generally not engage with opponents at all. Dogs.hit side who have created copycats in the quest for pl survival.

I'd definitely take Gilmour on loan and would like us to buy Colwill while we're at it

I am hoping Chelsea will stop selling prospects espeically ones that can play.

The thing with Guehi I never felt there were many noises about him at Chelsea. He wasnt seen as a prospect in the way the others were like Lamptey, Livramento and even Tomori.

Colwill is a big dog prospect seen as James 2.0. They wont sell him, surely.

Harvey Vale is the next one.

          Broja? Maybe.

That said all clubs need to balance the books. A lot of the players we would like to sell are underperforming players on big salaries.

Someone like Barkley is on 100k a week. Would bottom 10 teams in the prem want him? Probably but at half the salary.

Reality is biting at most clubs bar Farcelona.

Chelsea negotiating with Napoli. Barca telling him to wait.

need to register 2 of their new signings, trim their wage bill massively, sign Lewankdowski, Raphinha, Kounde, Alonso, ans Azpi. Pay everyone. Unreal.

Guehi is the best CB since John Terry to come out of the academy. I promise you. I knew it the moment Lampard gave him that first preseason run out. He's a right footed centerback that can place a ball with his left foot and pass anywhere on the pitch, is as athletic as Tomori and reads the game better than any of them.

Already vice-captain at Palace as well it seems. **

I was upset when they sold him.

Colwill will be sold because look at what we are doing. Tabled Koulibaly (a Sarri boy) and tabling Kimpembe (psg). Koulibably on a 4 year deal, Kimpembe will be similar. Think Colwill will sit around 4 years or jump ship in 2 years? My bet is on the latter.

I read that Bissaka could be on his way back to Palace. Think that would be a good move for club and player? Personally, I think with Vieira it would be a good move. Bissaka will regain form under him.

Edouard is a good player though. So I don't think you have issues at striker. The problem is those two old guys who are bad: Teke and Ayew. Soaking up minutes with their dreadfulness (imo, i really think they are baaaaad players)

Agreed. I'm hoping for Wan-Bissaka on loan, but it sounds like his wages may be an issue. Would LOVE to get him back though. Ayew I can live with, kinda fills a role as a decent substitute to defend late in games on the wing. Benteke is washed though, hope he gets sold for a bag of peanuts, apparently some MLS teams may be sniffing around him. He'd probably still go boss that league and pour in 15 goals in half a season

                  Ake deal collapsed.

That was a bonkers transfer. Ake has played less than 200 games in his career. Without a major injury.

                  27 years old. Not experienced.

Weird career. He needed that move.

Ake must have zero ambition. Sort of like that Song guy from Arsenal. he got that move to Barcelona and proceeded to never play a single game in his career from then. Just collecting 1m a week.

Bu Song at least came out and said, he didn't care about playing, he's a millionaire.

Dodged a bullet there. I swear Tuchel has the weirdest transfer targets. Sarri at least wanted his old players. Tuchel just *******ning targets.

Side note: Chelsea got Raheem and Koulibaly thus far. You just know Sarri is punching the air right now.

I think Ampadu is a similar level to Ake.

Same profile, good talker, comfortable on the ball. Had some unglamourous loans ala Trevoh but proved his worth.

just needs to have that voice still and be comfortable using it at Chelsea. That is his USP.

Anyone who has played footy and any level knows the best teams have a few load mouths in it. Ampadu has it. Also an experienced international for a decent Wales team.

I thought he would make it at Chelsea.

                      I still do.

                      Then again Billy looks ****ed.
