English clubs have done pretty good in European competitions even before the influx of "foreign stars"

All top teams have foreign players. Look at Barca and Real for evidence. They would be nowhere near as prolific without any non spanish players.

The reason the English top flight has a high percentage of foreign players is down to the lesser teams being able to shop in the European market. Most lower Spanish, Italian and German clubs have crap resources in comparison.

Well in the last 3 years they have been in 2 semis and a final. So If they did as well as England..they would be getting to finals right?

What has come before doesn't matter if you're talking about form. England have 3 years plus of form that puts them deep into tournaments. So it is the semi final of the world cup and the nations league that puts them in the conversation.

I've said before there is a decreasing pool of teams that will he able to knock England out of these tournaments. You mentioned 2 of them conversely England could beat both too.

Some of the fallout from losing and even before has been so embarrassing. From the storming of the turnstiles to fat middle aged Trevors trying to sucker punch them and kicking them on the floor as if they were brave men repelling an invading force and the pretty widespread ridiculous racist abuse. As a Chelsea fan we do have racist fans and you know they're there and they're a tiny minority to the extent accusation of Chelsea as a racist club hurt. But at England level it draws these sorts of types to it in bigger numbers and especially on social media

Football just seem to attract some real low lives. And it is all perception. We look like a nation of absolute racist simpletons. That is what people will see now when they see a predominantly white England crowd. Theyve ruined a great tournament for 99% who are f.ucking normal

Guehi coming down to South London on a permanent, hell yeah! Thought when we went Vieira over Lampard, we might miss out on the Chelsea boys. Now need to get Gallagher on loan and bring back Cahill. Then snatch Morgan Rogers from City and Nketiah from Arse and we are cooking with gas!

Mount and Reece got really, really lucky. Without Lampard, 100% they don’t feature for Chelsea. It’s clear as day with how the suits have handled Tomori and now, likely, the most talented CB out of Chelsea’s academy since JT. The kid has ball playing ability even greater than Tomori and possibly AC on top of that. Yet we sold him?

Patrick Vieira has some managerial potential too. Don’t sleep on him. He has some decent tactical chops on him.

It is a bit of a shame Guehi got no minutes. Zouma is a beast but he's not a great footballer so it is not like Guehi couldnt compete with him.

Gallagher defo needs a loan and with Billy at Norwich.

I think maybe RLC or Barkley has a last chance at Chelsea and an attempt will be made for Rice or at least another player with similar characteristics.

Chelsea cant win the league with their current midfield no matter how highly rated Kante and Jorgi are. We haven't had a legitimate title challenge in the 100 odd games theyve formed the mainstays of our midfield.

We short in midfield. Figuratively and literally. Has to fixed to make sure we dont occasionally just get bodied by someone rubbish. Which happens fairly often to Chelsea and I think midfield is the issue just as much as our defence

I kid you not, Gallagher is the greatest talent of the bunch. Mount gets and earns his praise but he’s no Gallagher.

First look at Gallagher and I thought this kid is the goods. Even before he pro debut. Higher ceiling than RLC even.

Gallagher deserves minutes for sure but the problem for him is he played in a rubbish team who treated the ball like a hot potato that it actually set him back (with no Lampard in the hot seat). Maybe Vieira's Palace might be a good fit. Newcastle are a terrible team so that is a no no.

There are teams in the prem that arent worth loaning too because they could play football but they just dont. You could look at any team in the prem to even say Burnley and actually they probably have a superior budget to a team like Sevilla say. Or comparable to a Roma even.

But they play no football at all and have a sole objective of trying to s.hithouse 40 points from the very first second of the season. Some of these teams are the purest of pure dross.

You cant say they are wrong because once they show a fraction of footballing decency and respect for the game they get absolutely slapped. We will see with Vieira at Palace my guess is if they try and actually play the game properly they'll probably get relegated. Same with Burnley. Same with Newcastle.

These teams are perennial s.hithouses they can't do anything. Everyone is just waiting for them to be relegated.

If I supported Palace/Burnley/Newcastle I would dream about the sweet sweet release of relegation
