UNAM Pumas are believed to have officially agreed to the transfer of midfielder Pablo Barrera to West Ham United.

It had previously been reported that Spanish club Espanyol were also keen to secure the services of the 23-year-old, but it appears as though the Hammers may have beaten their competitors to the player's signature.

The winger is expected to make the trip to England for a medical early next week, according to Televisa Deportes.

After taking a medical, however, the Mexico international will reportedly return to his homeland to bid adieu to his fans and wrap up some personal affairs, so as to join up with his new West Ham team-mates during the first week of August.

I have no idea why exactly a business man would want to buy a football club really.. United at its peak probably made 30-40 m a season.. that's nothing, just doesn't make that much sense to me. Unless perhaps they were huge fans.. which they clearly are not.

Why haven't they already then? the Glazers did not even have the money to buy United but still did? even if they(Glazers) do have good financial knowledge it is not to say their perception of how they think things are going go for them and the club is right, for all they know they could end up not being able to sustain the debt through unforeseen circumstances, **** like that happens in business.

Thats it bury your head in the sand again, delude yourself into thinking the figures are inaccurate, god for bid you would have to come to the realization that they might be fairly accurate, especially given that Glazers loaned the money to buy United, money which they did not have, how much do you think it would of cost to buy a club as big as United? well there you have it, that is how much they owe, of coarse that does not include the interest.

They did but the Glazer's turned it down the club is not for sale to anyone that's why nobody is bidding.

If they don't want to sell for more money than they paid for it then they obviously have it under control and have long term plans for the club. It would make no sense to deny the offer of a billion pounds and keep a struggling club that you can't rescue from huge debts. They would have taken the money if it was that serious.
