Aurier is a nightmare and you've replaced him with a tall and defensively sound wing back. I am sure he's an orthodox full back for Ireland.
One of those low key signings that I'd bank on ****ing 7/8 out of 10 performances most weeks.
Hojberg is the other one isnt it? I feel this is the sort of player that Jose will get the most out of.
They're decent buys to me. Fully adjusted prem players.

To be fair to Arsenal since their system change theyve beaten Liverpool twice, City, and Chelsea.

Said it since he stepped into the club, Arteta looks like he is going to be a damn good manager. I wasn't sure if Arsenal would win anything but now that they have, there goes that. Arteta seems the genuine article even more so than Lampard really.
He makes the intelligent decisions, does all the basics right, is fearless in the risks he takes, and is willing to adjust on the fly. That's the makeup of a proper manager.

Palace signing a 5'8" striker seems pointless though. Specially when Hodgson is just going to sit 9 in the box and hoof it. He's not a target.
It's like West Ham targeting skillful players (Benrahma). It's ****** because Moyes is just going to hoof it to Antonio anyways.
Everton are making sneaky moves. Agreeing terms with Allan (Napoli) and James Rodriguez. While driving down the fee on Doucoure (watford).
Villa looking at Benrahma as well. If they can keep Grealish and add Benrahma, Chelsea should definitely send Gallagher on loan there. Let them have Michy on loan for the season + option to buy. Villa should be a much better team.

I think Arsenal's success by and large in the 3 at the back.
The issue with that is when they play all the garbage in the league whether they can win with it or whether they adapt.
I'd be surprised if they finished anywhere really.
But they match up well with good sides being that humble. Arteta is Di Matteoish most likely

The bottom basically 10 jizz themselves if you play any less attackers.
Chelsea only won the league with it because nobody played it for years and we had an outstanding striker, outstanding winger and outstanding creative midfielder.
Arsenal have a striker well winger really. Lacazette is fine.
Xhaka is playing alright but he's not a great player.

It's setting waves throughout the sporting world but realistically, what if Messi just wants a different challenge?
It could really be as simple as that. Though the s.hit show at Barca, people want the barca president to resign.
Kind of silly really. The last time they did exactly what Messi wanted (as if firing the CEO/President would make him stay), they hired a s.hit Argentine coach that got sacked in a year or just under.
As for Messi. It's obvious why he'd go to Man City: Wages will be relatively the same, Tixi is the Director of Football, Guardiola is the manager.
I think it would be more interesting to see him go to AC Milan or something. Maybe even Juventus. THAT would end the football world really. Messi teams with Ronaldo? Can't even script that.
But in any case, I still want to see Messi leave Barca.
Barcelona could do themselves big favors selling him for 200m over letting him activate the clause that allows him to terminate his own contract.
At least get some money for him. Barcelona will still compete for trophies, with or without Messi. They will probably look a much sharper team without him, even if they are missing that touch of magic. Just like Real Madrid.Originally posted by MOTHERDUCKER View PostI'd love to see Messi in the PL
I think putting in a request is a bit more then posturing.. Barca fans don't take that kind of sheet lightly..
The new manager is already decided
So what else would he want?
Guarantee on Players?
Money? as if he doesn't get enough
By all accounts, it is happening
Will be interesting to see how he does in City. I think PL is too physical for Messi but let's see
