They actually have a style of play, players with defined positions not shifting everywhere and anywhere that's why they play well together too because they know what to expect from each other.

Man Utd are missing Rashford, Pogba and McTominay but even with them, Liverpool are miles ahead. Their recruitment has been absolutely shocking and some of that is a bit unlucky. Sanchez was a total dud, Fred has been poor, Baily was meant to be the new Rio/Vidic calibre player, Rojo and Young been stealing a living for years.

They overpaid big time for Maguire, I don't get why they didn't pay that for Koulibaly who is ranked world-wide by everyone to be a better player. The world cup raising the profile of so many English players to delusional levels. Lingard has been trash for over a year too. They need to get rid of Rojo, Martial and try and move AWB to a role more like Kyle Walker during the WC. The right side of a 3 at the back. Let him play more defensively because his offensive game isn't close to his defensive game.

Players costs so much right now, I don't know how long it is going to take.
    Great post.

They got robbed blind paying ?0m for slabs. Solid CB but a typical overpriced English player.

Honestly it's two teams at the top who could quite easily go ans win the CL this year.. even City given the league has almost gone.

But the rest? The fact that United are 5th with this team/squad is appaling.. Pogba has been MIA all season.. Martial barely played half the games and now Rashford is out and Ole now says we dont need a striker?? Why are we bending over for Inter? Sold Lukaku and sent Sanchez on loan

Oh and it's not even United.. Chelsea are a bunch of youth prospects and some average pros.. Then Leicester.. just like when they won the league they are only there because the rest of the league is garbage
I agree. In a normal season we’d be about 10th. Which is why I can’t really criticise Lampard or the team other than the pros that are expensively acquired.

I’d go further than you though. There are literally 10 teams that are dog s.hit.

I know Chelsea are losing to these utter bums but the way they set up against us is so p.ussyish. These teams set up like Andorra. Have a sense of pride ffs.

I dunno I feel like we need a bonus goal system because they’re just so desperate to stay up it’s barely football.

The BHOP analogy rings true. Towards the end he wasn’t boxing. None of that s.hit he done was boxing. Just like what these low block, time wasting, yellow card rotating teams do. It’s not football.

There’s no excuse. All these teams have expensively acquired international footballers other than ironically Sheff Utd who haven’t but also have balls.

I’d not hate it if Sheff Utd came 4th

Not even the Dutch league look as bad as the PL with the runaway leader.

They do deserve all the credit but yeah premier league needs to look at it.

Too many teams set up like bums. Eventually a good team like Liverpool will just beat you. You need to give them something to respect

The only real difference between Pool and all the others.

Is that Pool is ran extremely well.

They are ran to Ferguson-United levels of good.

All the others bar Man City, just dont have their shyte together from the suits to the manager to the pitch.

Man City will spend another 2bn and be in the hunt next season. But they know what they are doing even if they are far behind Pool this season.

Everyone of the usual top 6 just dont have a clue what they are doing from top to bottom.

This Liverpool side is possibly the greatest team of all time.

Smashing all the records on the march to the Premier title.

Yep it's not surprise United's best performances this season have been against the "bigger teams" (until recent weeks) Who actually attack us a bit.. United are setup to be a decent counter attacking side with the pace in James/Rashford/Martial.. Problem is pretty much 15-16 teams in the league don't play like that and we just flounder around for 90 mins and either they get a goal on the break/from a set piece or we do

Honestly it's a struggle to watch at times reminds me of **** international friendlies

Pains me to say it but if they won the league last year i would agree 100%.. granted any other year they would have.. But history will show City and not them as winners and ignore the points totals

Imagine PL/CL winners 2018/2019 and now again 90+ pts winning Premier league team/Super cup winners and who knows how they do in the CL

I will say though United won PL with Fergie 3x in a row twice and a CL in those times. To me that consistency is more important then smashing the points record.

Arsenal never won back to back titles.. Chelsea did a couple times but never more then twice in a row.. City finally did it last year... It's not easy to keep winning and winning.. imo that's the true mark of a great team. I always thought the Arsenal invincible team was incredibly overrated on the whole (first they lost to English teams in europe) and imploded the year after.. that doesn't scream all time great team to me.. I'd rate some of the Chelsea teams over them

Also United were so far ahead at times.. Fergie would put out the youth teams for 4-5 games at the end of the season.. So the points total thing can be a bit misleading

                    Probably biased though

Agreed with Motherducker, a couple of the United teams, Chelsea from 04-06 and City from the last two seasons rank above Arsenal’s Invincibles imo.

Don’t get me wrong it was a great achievement but ultimately if you ask those players would they have taken a CL win that season and still won the league with 1 loss I bet majority of them would bite your hand off.

Had they not messed up in 2003 they would have a much stronger argument because that would’ve been 3 leagues in row plus an invincible season to top it off.

As for Liverpool, we could potentially have the best individual season but we need to retain the league title to solidify the claim of being the greatest.
