I think you can change systems. Pep does. Jose doesn’t and we know which one the game seems like it’s left behind now.

Pep spoke about it before the game yesterday. You might choose another striker because you want another guy in the box. You might choose a spare defender against teams that attack narrowly and at the same time you think wing backs will get joy.

I think you can play any system but what actually changes the game is where you start your press from. And how well you pass the ball. That’s basically it.

Defensive midfielders weren’t even a recognised thing in England until Makelele. Literally.

Chelsea can be great in 3–4-3 or awful. Depending on where that defensive bloc starts and if they can beat the oppositions press.

I think Chelsea done it in the main because we have a very good wing back in Alonso but also because he’s tall and another centre back would give us 2 strong headers in our own area.

Zaha is an impact player 100%.

There's a ton of people online absolutely hating the idea of Zaha going to Chelsea but ****, he's a game changer and that's a fact.

He may not be Salah or Sterling level (as of yet) but he has that innate ability to turn a game on its head. Big clubs need that. Smaller clubs survive on it.
