I do not see why people gush over that guy.

Looks like the same type of player as Zouma and Rudiger, except that he is 29. While Zouma is 24 and Rudiger 26.

Plays the exact same way: Athletic; tall but somehow not great in the air, relies too much on instinct and athleticism over IQ and positioning; looks unnatural on the ball but can put a long ball over the top.

He's just 3-5 seasons more mature than the aforementioned 2. Which isn't an indication of ability, more so than just playing longer with the same skill set. Man gets beat in a slow league ffs. Nevermind City bending him (Sarri and Napol tooi) over in the CL.

Azpi and Alonso just aren’t full backs. Conte is a superb manager but he’d made them both niche players.

Azpi might be a competent 3rd centre half now and Alonso is purely a left wing back.

Think the squad is a 3-5-2 squad right now. With the injuries.

Using the 352 is just going to be a shot in the dark.

Neither Frank nor Jody know how to use or coach the 3 man backline formations.

It takes a lot of know-how to properly set up a 3-x-y and play competent in it.

Just look at Germany for example. None of those players suck. That manager is a legendary one. Trotted out the 3 man back line and got smacked up for it.

Frank sending out the 352 with his approach to football. Liverpool will probably 8-0 us.
