Wilshere and Joe Allen (lol) aren't in the same league as Jorginho at breaking the lines and recycling possession, certainly not at resisting the press. Wilshere is grade C, Jorginho is a premium signing and it shows with the transformation of your midfield.

Even the difference of moving Kante further forward and having Jorginho at the base. Teams can't press Jorginho into errors like they would Kante, it makes a big difference.
Those were the kinds of signings Chelsea were making since Kante though.

I've always liked Giroud but even Giroud was one of those almost needless signings. Man is truly, truly cursed. French Heskey probably.

But I agree with everything you said. Jorginho is a difference maker definitely. I'm just waiting to see when everyone around him starts playing the ball quicker with movement like seen at Napoli.

I dunno if that stadium for Spurs was a good idea. It’s costing a bomb and they’re notoriously tight. So they need revenue.

If Arsenal tightened the purse strings after building a stadium then Spurs are gonna super glue the purse shut and bury it into the centre of the earth. Already bought no players this summer.

They’ve got a nice enough team but I’d be surprised if that set up didn’t get stale quick and especially if the boost of a new stadium doesn’t manifest itself.

Alli’s Signed a new deal and Harry Kane will never leave Spurs I wouldn’t think.

But there’s a few key players that have dropped off a bit including Lloris, Dembele, and even Aberweireld.

I just don’t see them doing anything this season.

If they do then Poch is the best manager in the league

Seriously. I think they've reached their limit. Not as inspired as in previous seasons. Either that or they are figured out. Poch really has to be extraordinary to conjure up some something brilliant with them.

Probably did themselves a disservice in keeping Alderweirald as well. Up there in age and they have Dier who could have at least been a stop gap. So they can add to their squad if the money is that big of an issue.

But who knows really. They could do a Newcastle and just refuse to reinvest into the squad for all we know. Even after making profit with player sales.

If Roman is bulking at stadium cost despite ?00 mill of investment from the Chinese you know that stadium costs in London is just out of control.

With the irony being property markets have slowed right down post brexit until people know what’s what.

So everything is expensive but the buyer can’t know the true value

Goalkeeper of the World Cup? Are you sure?

          ****. ****. ****. Average.

          Morata himself probably is.

There seems be this thing around him that he will be a prolific scorer. Last season was almost a career season for him and everyone thought he wasn’t really good enough by the end of it.
But you said yourself that now you've watched Jorginho he's a metronome so how does that display lack of substance . You're a stubborn guy Sparked.

Busquets could be trophyless, wouldn't take away from the excellent work he does. Dunno about that logic.

          No-one rates Morata now.

It's kind of outside of Spurs control at this point, they shouldn't even be at Wembley at this point lol
Would've been in their control if they could build their stadium when they said they would. Embarrassing pitch on Monday.

Cricket takes about 3 weeks to complete a match and people love that here.

              Are you saying I’m fickle?

If so then yes. I’m a football fan. Jorginho is a boss.

But I could only view Jorginho that way really before seeing him play for Chelsea and in this league.

No precedent for him a Chelsea.

You’ve got to admit. He’s an extremely niche player.

You can’t just put him in any team.

If he played for Cardiff City he’d be their worst player. Legit about as useful as a door knob

I wasn’t hopeful for Sarri either.

But now I’d say Sarri is he first proper coach we’ve had since probably Ranieri.

We’ve had great managers and players. Not too many that have changed their games and improved but more just accentuated their positives.

Joe Cole and Nic Anelka are probably the only ones I can think of. Mourinho really did a
job on Joe Cole retrospectively and Ancelotti was brilliant with Anelka

But Sarri and Barkley whilst early days is pretty dramatic. He’s turned a dribbler/Luxury player into possession based player and Barkley was a guy nobody thought had a brain.

No way did I rate Barkley at all. So yeah things change.

Cahill has been a great player for Chelsea. He’s awful now. If he plays a league game I am pretty certain we’ll lose it

                  We're going round in circles.

It isn't hard to watch a player several times in a different league and weigh up a signing based on how they've done there in a similar (in this case the same) system.

He is a niche player yeah, but the context we were discussing him in was potentially signing for Chelsea or City. I'm not interested in the merits of him turning out for Macclesfield.

                    New Sterling contract, buzzing!

The lad's not heading to Palace any time soon Roy.

                      Said that though didn’t I.

Chelsea didn’t play a similar system.

At the end of the day, you’ve been jizzing over Napoli for ages where to the rest of us we saw a team that don’t win.

So you can take an individual on their merits.

Each culture change at Chelsea has failed from the second Mourinho stepped through the door.
