Conte just said he picked the wrong team. Anyone who watches football could have told you that.

Seems like a bit of self sabotage to me. Same result with Ampadu and Hudson Odoi playing would have placated Chelsea fans a bit. Season is dead as a door nail.

Chelsea shouldn't even be prioritising 4th. They're not good enough to be in that champions league

Conte has his blame but it isn't solely his fault either. Conte does however have the responsibility to right this mess.

He's going to have to adjust from his ego. Maybe not his philosophy/idea of how to play but certainly the way he executes it.

The 352 or 343 that Chelsea plays has been found out. He may need to switch to a 442 for the sake of getting results. Until he can get the right players in, which will take years, not a summer, tbh.

At least then, the 2 mids in Bakayoko and Kante aren't getting exposed but I won't armchair manage. Conte has to figure it out and simply saying "we don't have the players" won't solve anything.

It is gonna be a long, bumpy ride once the stadium rebuild is under way.

If this current period is a show of things to come, it's gonna get worse. Specially if(when) Conte leaves.


Odds on Howe and Dyche?

I would like Nagelsmann of Hoffenheim but German managers like Nagelsmann and Tuchel are long shots. Specially after the Villas Boas fiasco.

Brenda Rodgers for me seems like the natural replacement.

He's an a-grade knob, has the ego the size of a City, has worked for Chelsea before. Plays young players.

Remit needs to change - they aren't buying top players.

If Conte played young players I think he'd be safe but he's just relying on old heads who aren't good enough.

Bless Pedro, but I do hope that game yesterday is his last game for Chelsea. And Cahill's. And Luiz's. And Baka's.

I don't trust Conte to change anything so it becomes a bit of an issue when you've lost 7-1 to a combined effort of Bournemouth and Watford and you have a face like he does and players are picked injured and suffering muscle injuries.

Everyone seems to be doing a bad job at the moment. They need to have a few days off and take stock.

But if they sack him I don't really mind. He's gone at the end of the season and the season has completely gone in the last month and he looks like a sad Ghost. He looks like a President at the end of his 2nd term

Might as well sack him and see where a 'new manager bounce' takes us.

He's done well overall Conte. It's not like he's leaving us 1 point from the drop like Jose. But If I was somehow an exec I'd be asking him what his plan was and if it was just to get players back fit I'd sack him.

The whole team is leggy. That's his staffs fault. It's amateurish.

I said last season I didn't rate the Chelsea team and thought they were very lucky that they had no European football.

At some point the players need to take responsibility though.. Second time in recent years they have gone from Champions to shockingly bad the following season..

Conte and Mourhino seem to be getting/got all the flack though.. they both looked absolutely miserable and beaten.. there must be something going on behind the scenes at that club

To be fair when things go wrong it's the players.

Both both literally said the team are overrated.

Courtois is Chelsea summed up. If you really look at him you'll realise there is about 10 plus better keepers in the league.
