Conte was tactically out managed.

You can see Cesc STILL being useless. ✅

You can see the diagonal passes to the wingbacks are now available. ✅

But Cahill is still not good enough and Azpi doesn't make the most of the right flank. ✅

Should've had Moses and Batshuayi For Cesc and azpi/Cahill.
Would've been a much better game from us.

City earned the win. It wouldn't be right to steal a late goal or City never scoring.

Bad day at the office but thoroughly outclassed really.

Chelsea looked like they didn't have anyone to pass to when they had the ball.

A few tactical mistakes possibly. But tbh, Chelsea had their best performance for years only three days ago.

Willian is pure cack at the minute though. I wish we sold him to Man United as well.

Chelsea still defended well but they need explosive wing backs Azpi at wing back handcuffed one side of the pitch. Alonso was the out ball all day and the **** was on his feet from about 70 minutes.

Chelsea looked a level below City there. The excuse will be the game on Wednesday but physically that game wasn't that demanding. They were shuttling across the pitch. I knew someone would run off the back of Cesc in the end.

It is an odd one because I would say that most our players played quite well defensively but they were never in the game. So tactically they were found wanting but also they couldn't look after the ball well enough. The Willian sub was a terrible sub only highlighted by how terrible Willian was.

Bakayoko, Kante, Alonso, Cahill, Batshoes, Courtouis, Rudiger all showed holes in their technique when put under pressure. When the press works as well as that City look great. It is whether they can keep that going for a whole season. Obviously Willian showed holes in his technique. That lad couldn't pass water today. I've always questioned whether he was quite good enough for Chelsea. His work rate covers over a lot of cracks.

Morata injury ruined Conte plans but he played almost the same XI on 2 days rest I expected at least Pedro and Zappacosta would play

Can't argue against any of that.

I didn't understand Willian coming on when he did. Not for Morata. Downsized without making our attack better. I was hoping for Batshuayi but Conte really doesn't think highly of him at all.

I mean, even if Batshuayi isn't as complete as Morata, I can't rationalize forgoing a striker for an attacking mid, in a game where you're getting dominated. That's some Fifa online substitution nonsense. Pace abuse instead of putting in the backup striker. Real life doesn't work like that necessarily.

Christensen was great today. Cahill will never come back into the starting line up. Isn't good enough anymore. Christensen's emergence, Rudiger's reliability and Azpi becoming a strong makeshift CB. Cahill is gone and Luiz is on notice. Luiz is good but error prone.

City's movement without the ball was amazing. Everytime a Chelsea player had the ball, they had 2 City players on them instantly.

Conte made the mistake in moving Hazard up top when Morata came off and bringing on Willian instead of a straight striker for striker swap with Bats.
