If Allegri actually does take over Arsenal, you will see the utter demise of Arsenal as an elite club.

Arsenal doesn't spend much money to begin with, they don't have a prime Ibrahimovic there and Arsenal isn't a club that hold a monopoly over the league they play in (i.e. Juventus)

Allegri will be seen as the sub-par manager he is.

Now to Allegri. He has not done better. He had one finals appearance on the back of Conte's empire. Then subsequently matched Conte's worst run in the CL, the very NEXT season. His 3rd season, he has drawn Porto and will likely win but it's not even a certainty that they are better than Leicester when compared to the other league winners.

You brag about winning the tim cup but who cares? Walter Mazzarri won it with Napoli during Conte's reign at Juventus and was STILL FIRED the very next season when Napoli finished 2nd place.

Hell Walter Mazzarri has a better win percentage at Napoli during Conte's reign over Italy with Juventus than Allegri in his whole career as a manager even at Juventus! And to add to that Mazzarri, despite 59 and 62 win percentage with Inter and Napoli, is bottom feeding in England with Watford.
