    Yea man!
I thought they were night terrors:
until I got married, started sleeping with my wife, and realized I wasn't moaning like i thought.

YEA!!! I wake up when it happens, and if I don't stay awake for a while I slip right back into it too!!!!

I was unable to move or scream, the face of the figure was horrifying, kind of like a real life witch was on me. The next move it made was to grab me by the throat and proceed to strangle me....

...... I awoke coughing and spluttering, gasping for breath.

I didn't sleep after that for a few days, it still freaks me out just thinking about it.
    Yea, I believe you man.
I see a dark figure approach my bed, and it begins to hurt my soul/spirit or something inside, and it's painful. While it's "strangling" me I hear the voice a thousand people - high pitch screaming.

I shoot up a prayer and hear it echo and that's when it stops, I fall back into deep sleep and wake up shortly after.
It's not often, but when it DOES happen, it's usually between 3am - 4am.

It's funny you should ask because I made a threat about a couple of months back. My first experience was when I was about 5. I thought I died on that one because I just kinda woke up and couldnt move anything and then went unconsious. And then a year from this December ago I was sleeping in a bed by myself and I woke up and I could't breath, so I panicked and tried to get up. Now thens where the scary **** started. I couldn't. There were dark blue vines with thorns coming from the bottom of the bed pushing me down. I then tried calling out my dads name because he was in another bed in the same room and I couldn't. And then like 5 seconds later I woke up. I then didn't know if I had a dream or not. And then just a couple months back **** came back, but this time I would hear a loud buzz in my ears and my ears felt like they were going to explode. This happened to me often during the time so I wouldn't go to sleep on my own will because I would get that sensation of it happening again so I would just turn on the TV and watch it until I fell asleep literally. Then yesterday I was getting that same sensation I woke the fuck up and started listening to music until I drifted into a deep sleep. Granted, it is scary at first but later you kinda get used to it when it has happened to you about 10 times and sometimes twice in the same night.

Yea, I think I know what you mean.

Before I'd be paralyzed in fear, but after it happened more often and more frequently it became familiar.
There's been times when I got more pissed off than scared. So I talk trash to this "dark figure" by my bed, and try to fight/resist the pain, but it ends up getting the best of me every time regardless.
And after waking up if I feel myself slipping back into it, rather than staying awake for a while, I just get lazy and take my chances by going back to sleep.

So I wouldn't say I got 'used to it', but just more aware.

For others there is simply the unmistakable presence of evil. In extreme cases, these potentially supernatural attacks can occur for decades. Overwhelmed, exhausted, and entirely alone, victims can lead shattered lives dominated by the fear of social stigma. Those who seek medical advice are often misdiagnosed and labeled psychotic or schizophrenic.

I did a search an came up with this, ''The Hag'' sounds like what I called a Witch. Really scary ****.

I once had a nurse tell me that it comes from poor blood circulation when you are asleep. Like for me it always happens when I sleep on my back which is why I purposely sleep on my side.
