I'm about as loyal to a country as the average free agent is to his old team in pro sports. If Costa Rica had Taco Bell & a handful of other places I dig I'd probably still be living there. Its all propaganda at the end of the day is the cold hard reality. I have no reason to be loyal to the lies I was told vs the lies they'd tell me in Costa Rica, Russia, China, Germany, Turkey or wherever the fook people are lying from. Honestly when I abandon sh^p I'd probably lean more towards Sweden or Denmark or one of these countries that seems to give a fook about their citizens more than the US does doe.

Russia Don was just smarter or sketchier, depending how you wanna look at it, in making sure his drone kill numbers didn't get released. Lol, I hear you. I would love to visit Northern Europe, its damn expensive but I always had a sort of longing for that area... Karma? another life did I live there? Or maybe it is the blondes? I have a friend who has settled in Costa Rica. He has his family down there. He likes it, its not cheap though... But he was in San Francisco and to him it is heaven compared to here.

Its a hard thing... I love this country but I am not loyal to the power structures. I had one of those special moments. when I was a single guy, I lived in this household, and one of the residents was this amazon built Blonde from Idaho. We had a platonic relationship... but I loved her in that way you love special friends you would die for. She was bat s hit crazy but at the same time, incredibly strong and she was my mushroom tripping partner. We would take these shrooms on a nice weekend and walk all day through the park, to the ocean and back at night. We always had a great time.

On one trip we were coming back at night and stopped in this dive bar in an area known as the inner sunset. As we walked in we were buzzing! I guess we had decided to reload lol. The bar had christmas lights, was warm, and the people were smiling at us. Instantly I got the vibe "nice kids, tripping like we used to do, how nice." So we order a drink, and on the telivision there is one of those truck commercials, with all the imagery, and I got this very very strong epiphany, could feel the people in the bar smiling, the tv about america... this overwhelming sense that THIS (where we were, what was happening) was the real America... A bar full of good people, friendship, warmth. It about knocked me back five feet, I even am getting emotional writing about it now, as it is ever etched in my experiences.

I stand by that experience: America is not Washington, Cancel culture, and people fighting... it is that neighborhood, that locaton where everyday people have a drink, can watch each other with a twinkle in their eye...

Its been almost a decade since I lived in Costa Rica so idk how the prices are now, but it was similar to my expenses in the midwest back then. They didn't even have street signs back then doe. I've heard that changed. My official address was something like 25 meters from the Fresh Mart or some other landmark. Trying to eat "American" was expensive so I just went to this giant ass farmers market to keep food costs down & probably eat better than I did in my entire life.

Shrooms never made me horny. Eating Speed, towards the end of the night did! Also, Ecstacy and MDMA never made me so inclined to seek the Possy. Lol, Liesel was like a big sister to me... I was always the oldest in my household, had to look after two younger sisters and it was nice to have that dynamic.

Most people feel the same way about control and taxes... Most problems we have are solvable, which is why I incline towards the belief in a cabal. We have doctors that provide no insurance care and can afford to give you operations that cost 300k for 5k and less! This is documented. If we kicked out insurance companies and made hospitals not for profit, we could take care of everybody for a fraction of what it cost now. These doctors use a wing of a motel for convlescing, provide nursing, meds, etc and you can put it on a credit card.

If we got rid of for profit prisons, we could have a better system... and if we got rid of the grid? we could pay for underground fiber optics, and solar programs and not be at risk.
And of we just had taxes for things bought, we could have taxes that were fair and plentiful.

But the folks that run these things won't let it happen and determine who gets to rule from Washington and as you and Shoulder both have said... we grin and bare it.

I love ethnic foods of all sorts! It is a way to connect. Show me what your family digs on at the table... As a chef I still am in awe of what people create to embellish taking in sustenance.
