Socialism is by definition a move towards a fairer and more equal society where the state has a duty to look after the health and wellbeing of its people. Where your country provides whatever is needed for you to thrive.

Capitalism is about personal profit and greed, so you look after yourself and if you can't who cares. If you are lucky enough to be born into a rich family you are idolised.

They have the same services as the socialist population, but instead of providing it themselves on a non profit basis, they allow private companies to grab a profit at every turn.

It's a choice between (a)building your own bar in your cellar that you can use any time you wish or (b)having to go to a Posh Bar down the road and pay the waiter, the valet, the barman, the toilet attendant and the door security their tips and pay tax on the drinks you buy too.

The truth is you want a system that delivers the best of both worlds. One that provides whatever basics you need but allows you the freedom to visit the Posh bar when you want a treat..

I'd say it's improper to criticize the former president for draft dodging, when the current president also received draft deferments for asthma.

We haven't elected a veteran since 2004, and even then his military record was questioned. GHW Bush had an impeccable record, but he was a one term president. And around here, one term is a sure sign of failure.
