You know, a guy named Snorre gathered all the tales in Scandinavia around the Viking Age and produced books based on all the tales. Does it make it anything more than tales?

I understand how the Bible was formed, and to me it's the most impressive literary work in the history. Insane amounts of effort went into it.

But there were over 40 known historians living in or around the area where Jesus lived. None of them mentions anything about miracles, crucifixions, son of God or Jesus. How come?
No hieroglyphs, no scrolls, no drawings, no writings exist that can confirm that Moses led his people out of Egypt. No artifact, no bones, nothing.
    How come?

I'm sorry, you are right. Buddha was a teacher then. You are grasping here.

A very general message without specifics.
Did he mention anything about a Messaiah? Or a son of God?

At the very best, Jesus was history's toughest SOB with a great intellect and charisma. King? Certainly.

Buddha could have been talking about Ghandi too for that matter.
Well your confusing Jesus with Moses. Stick to the person you are talking about. Again there were many books and only four were formed to create the Bible. There are more from people around the area who had seen Jesus but weren't added. There might have even been more but many things were lost and destroyed during the Roman Empire, not to mention even the ***s who played a role in the persecution of Jesus wanted nothing to do with an exapansion of a new religion and teachings after Jesus since many ***s feared that such a thing would strike Romans into thinking that the ***ish would try to rise and attempt to overthrow the Romans and cause trouble. Almost everything that was on paper had a chance of being destroyed and people being persecuted

It wouldn't make sense for him to mention a Messiah or Son of God if he did not teach or mention anything about God. I think the best was to write about a King since many saw Jesus as King of the ***s

Before Jesus many people did not live this way. It was still the same eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth mentality. You can look at a few people who didn't think like that but basically when Jesus came that was the basic law that people had. He changed everything in the way people lived there life and I think that is more original then anything else. His disciples were important but not as significant, his birthday's location and date was important but not as significant. His main point that he wanted to get accross was his message in that if you believe in him then you will gain salvation. He changed everything and even today, many people look to teachings in the Bible for guidance. I think he made a bigger difference in most people's lives then you would think and that is more original then anything
That is COMPLETELY UNTRUE before Jesus or the Bible the golden rule "Do onto others as you want done onto you" came from Japan.. thousands of years before.

The Mayan's had something similar and it was In'Lak Ech.. I am you and you are I.
It loosely translates to the same thing.. treat you as I would treat myself and you treat me as you would treat yourself.

Actually people were not. That is why when Jesus came along, he was persecuted and crucified for his claims of being the Son of God. Back then it was a sin to say it. Now, anyone can call themselves that and since many laws are based upon giving people another chance, people won't be prosecuted for it. If you actually study old history back before Jesus' time before the 1st centure, it was allright to stone a women after finding out she had commited adultery, it was allright to slice someones hand off is they stole a loaf of bread. But now, if you do that today, you won't be beaten and killed like back then. Jesus came and said that you must forgive people for it

I didn't confuse Moses with Jesus. I separated them into two sentences were I ended each with a question mark.
You didn't answer either of them.

There were many books, yes. Why would they leave many books out if they too could provide definitive proof?
Is it more likely that those other books couldn't be trusted, or somehow told quite another story about the matter?

And who wrote the books that were included? Objective outsiders?
                Or subjective insiders?
                Based on actual experiences?
Or based on tales and stories?

I believe that the library in Alexandria contained an awful lot of information that would flip this world upside down.
But I don't think it contained information about Jesus.

Add the Celtics to that list.

Even though they didn't call themselves Celtics.

                  Possibly the oldest civilization yet.

You actually think they changed after Jesus?

As for Jesus, sorry where is the proof that he even existed?? Oh in a 200 year old book that was written by people who claimed to have known him, and compiled by the people who killed him 300 years after he died. Oh ok you win, that's proof beyond all reasonable doubt if ever i saw it.
Jesus historically was a real man who lived a real life. Believing he was teh Song of God i another thing but historically he was a real person. Theres is no way to prove he was real but can you prove that other people back then were real?
