i think the first punch you throw in a street fight should be forearm to the throat....... street fights are always dirty its instinct to win any way you can.. so dont wait to have your back on the ground to fight dirty

Boxing helps u develop accuracy speed and power. Which all come in handy in a street fight. Some people like to let the other guy throw the first punch, i say dont be ****** u get the opportunity you be first. Remember there are no gloves or headgear in streetfighting, anything goes. Dont think too much or ull end up choking and getting dropped or quitting cus of doubt. You gotta have full conviction or u got no business fighting anyone in the street.

This is very true. I finished a guy off with about 3 or 4 left hooks to the body. and Im very right handed.

BTW forget about breaking ur opponent down, most street fights last only a few seconds some even less, immidiate damage is the only thing that is gonna make ur opponent think, and once he starts thinking he is done.

              Hi All!
I'm new to this forum and hope to get to know all of you. It's an interesting discussion. Training & technique in any discipline is the key to all forms of fighting. Street fighting is no exception.
My youngest son is a 5th Degree Taekwondo exponent. His 'moves' and fighting technique are 2nd nature to him. He has NEVER looked for, nor instigated a fight. I have heard first hand from his friend, that when he became irrevocably 'forced' into a fight a few years ago...it lasted exactly 15 seconds. A feint to the knee with his left leg & then an axe kick to the neck & shoulder area. 7,8,9,10...OUT! In close, grappling..the training and methodology is even more deadly. Short, brutal jabs & strikes to all known pressure point areas. Heavy pain & loss of mobility.
Any form of fighting is only for the trained or experienced person.
For those of you who are unaccustomed to fighting...as I am now, at my age...simply grab a guy by his balls..squeeze like hell and hold on until he drops & literally passes out. It works every time and eliminates missed punches or getting hit too often! LOL.

Welcome Silverfox. Hope you enjoy the site.

I'd rather not touch his balls lol although I'd have to agree it would probably work.

Daym 5th degree taekwondo exponent Wouldn't wanna cross that guy.

                ------------------------------

If you jabbed hard at the nose a guy who is coming right at you, would the guy feel it or would he walk right through it?

Just how effective will your boxing be if you're being grabbed and kicked and ****?
belive me if you can box reasonable well, a streetfight will be no problem.

you have to be ready for anything though, and it's probably better to fight from the outside to avoid a tackle, but all and all a street fight is cake.

If you're streetfighting ( no gloves ) i'd recommend going only to the body because you might break your knuckles on someone's hard head. Throw a left hook to the liver, if that doesn't put him down, nothing will

When in a street one rule always applies, never stand within arms reach unless you are doing something. And I also disagree with you guys saying boxing is worthless in street fights. Let me tell you something having boxing skills is very beneficial in a fight. Because boxers know how to throw punches correctly, and they also know when to punch and not to punch. The most effective punch in a fight is the punch you don't see coming. Also, throw the uppercut right, he will be gone. Also, walking away from a fight does not necessarily make you a coward. Sometimes it is not worth it.
