A producer on the EA UFC forums said they will be starting work on the UFC sequel. He said he will continue to update and support the current UFC game. Then, he will join the rest of the team on the UFC sequel.
This means no Fight Night is being made. They also have a team working on a Def Jam game called Def Jam: Vengeance due out 2015. It seems like EA has unofficially giving up on boxing. It's sad because the recent EA UFC game didn't sell well. It sold worst than the THQ UFC games and the worst Knockout Kings/Fight Night effort.
I have been campaign for EA and other companies to make a boxing game for some time now. Let's hope the boxing videogaming fans help the campaign to get another boxing game. One of the producer was quoted as saying he wanted to make another boxing game, it's up to the fans wanting it bad enough that the CEO's have no choice but to listen.
