[HOLY S**T!] Dragon Age 2 - Discussion, Impressions, gameplay and general talk!

So Dragon Age 2 got released in Europe today, I was a rather big fan of Dragon age Origins so I have big expections for this game. (It's Bioware after all)

So far the visuals are rather impressive, the combat is fluently but holyhell there's a lot of cutscenes and clips! Almost like watching an interactive movie..

I'm not very far into the game (I'm not quite as ****** in as I was with Origins) but this view may or may not change later on.

If anyone else have bought the game or are planning to feel free to post your impression of the game..!!

Its more of working now, I liked it at start but after the first few quests it gets boring.

Good beginning, then boring, then great finish at the final chapter.

I went through it as a pro-mage greedy female warrior, now I'm going to try it as a benevolent anti-mage male blood mage.

The game had so much going for it. Hawke and Varric in my opinion are the best characters in the series but the game just isn't anywhere near as good as the first one. People want to blame EA for this but to be honest Bioware is just as guilty, Mazuka or whatever is one of the heads so he knows what's up. This game felt like a cash out. Will be cautious with Bioware/EA games from now on, even if it's Knights of the Old Republic, which I was excited about.

Chapter one bored the living hell out of me. should've called it Errand-Age. For a good 6 hours it was nothing but trivial errands..

Chapter two is okey so far, lots of cool storyquests with the companions.

haven't finished the game... Some say the ending sucks **** so I can't find myself to put another 15 hours into it right now..

playing it on pc at the moment, used the console command instantly and got max stats and max gold. The game is fun when you can use overboard abilities right off of the bat. That being said, I have never really been a fan of the way Dragon Age played, I guess adding the mash button was for people like me? Either way it's an alright game, I'm currently at chapter 2. Playing a 2H Warrior. All day every day.

One thing I really enjoy is that there's a rude option for every reply, not sure if this effects your Good/Evil status or how that effects your character yet?? Is it purely story or does your character's demeanor and look change when you're good/evil? Haven't noticed any difference yet.

It really worries me that Bioware starts to make their RPG / Action RPG's whatever you wanna call it in under a year now.

Dragon age took like 7 years to put together and it took'em two years to make baulders gate II.

If Blizzard can perfect a game for 10 years (Starcraft 2) you would think these guys could do give it a little time.

I agree, this seems like cash outs. It's so dumbed down now it's crazy.

Hopefully Mass Effect 3 will be the epic ending to a great franchise. If they sold out on that one for a quick buck I'm done with Bioware. /end rant "peeleft:
