i have lost 11-12 lbs in one week many times. 14lbs is a bit of a stretch. To be honest i wish i didn't lose that much cause occasionally i get a little carried away with what i eat on a weekend- Generally i have a very good diet but if i weigh myself on a sunday night and again on the saturday morning of the same week i would lose about 5 kilos. I work very hard throughout the week though. Is this a dangerous routine? if so why? Like i said i eat lots of food especially meal times- i eat like an animal. However I never eat takeaway foods

Your weight going up and down so much in a week can't be all that healthy. You can get away with it when your young but as you get older it can be very bad for your health. But with age it probably won't happen that much as you're metabolism will slow down.

How much do you weigh, and are you overweight? I had a friend who was 340 lbs., who lost 39 lbs. in 3 weeks, just by going to the gym 4 times a week.

I definitely think it's possible to lose a stone, if you're a big, overweight guy, in bad shape. If you keep doing what you've been doing, you'll find that the weight los becomes less dramatic over time. The first few lbs. (in this case a stone) are always the easiest to lose.

By the way he's describing it's like he's going up a stone one week and then down a stone the next which I find pretty strange but maybe it's more common than I think.

Well you see i'm 5'11 and 11 stone but last week was 12 stone. I wasn't fat but probably wasn't slim either. now i'm trying to get down to about 10 and a half stone because that's a good height for that weight.

Well, at that weight, what you're saying sounds pretty fishy...

Why would I lie about it? It's not like it's a major achievement just i was surprised i'd managed to lose so much.
