I was able to bulk up and cut on a vegan diet and maintained muscle really well. Just eat a lot of beans, green veggies, good carbs, and do smoothies with things like hemp seeds and chia seeds which have a ton of protein. Avacados are your best friend, and some beyond meat sausages and pea protien shakes will help a ton.

you can get as lean as you want in a caloric deficit eating any kind of food you want. That doesnt make it healthy.

Fat is crucial for hormone production, mental health, and brain function. Going on a low fat diet will likely tank your T levels and give you hella brain fog and depression. Its a terrible idea. Cutting out any macronutrients is a dumb idea.

That is EXACTLY what I’m doing and eating. With some kale and banana smoothies in the morning and plant based protein powder.

I must say, a little over a week in and I’m already feeling better, and stomach slimmer.
Been lifting heavy with the weights and not eating past 7:00.

        Super efficient diet.

People criticize the zone diet from a few years back but the basic premise was sound. Control your macros (balance fat, protein and carbs) to keep your blood sugar on an even keel.

Two weeks in and my stomach has slimmed down more than it ever has in the past two years.
Finally an efficient and easy diet.

I still got a good amount of visceral fat to dispose of but it’s coming off, very noticeable.

Hoping to be down around 15 lbs. total by end of September.

                  Breakfast:
                  Smoothie consisting of
Banana, blueberries, kale, almond milk, and one scoop of plant based protein powder.
                  Sometimes oatmeal, too.

                  Lunch:
Banza (vegan) Rotini or penne pasta w/ beyond meat ground beef. About 2-4 oz. of each.

                  Dinner:
Same as lunch, sometimes black beans and half of an avocado.

It’s not vegan, but sometimes I’ll eat 4-6 boiled egg whites.
Great source of protein, 0 cholesterol, no carbs, no fat.

I’m not an animal activist or some crap, I’m just following a general vegetarian/vegan diet for health/weight purposes.
