Bodybuilders say, "Eat big, sleep big, lift big." Most muscle building happens during the sleep (recovery) phase. Lots of protein, 8-10 hours of sleep every night, and kill yourself in the gym, and you'll gain muscle. It will be hard, but it can be done.

Any exercise and healthy foods like tuan fish, meat, lean beef, chicken, oatmeal, whey, etc. There is no secret formula.

Supplements are just that...supplements. Without a good diet, there's no need in them. Heavyweight boxers are naturally that big, they don't take secret pills before a fight to gain weight

Really have to pay attention to your body type on this one, too. If you tend to gain easy, then eating big and taking powders like protein/creatine won't mix well with a "boxing" workout. If your question is, "can you get big by doing boxing/boxing exercises and not lifting," then the answer is yes. Its all about when you eat what. Carbs before bed, protein/sugar after exercise, its a basic formula. If your question is "can I get big just by eating without exercise," the answer is yes, but don't expect to make it up a flight of stairs without breathing heavy.

Also weight training won't slow you down as long as you do it correctly. Which is hard to get for sports because you need to know what works for you and what doesn't. If you're gonna use weights, I would hire a professional sports trainer specifically for boxing to help you out because it's gonna be hard by yourself.

dont lift. do pushups and clap pushups, and ****ing go up explosively when you do them otherwise dont bother at all. going up explosively greatly benefits the pushup's value to boxing, you can get sore as hell doing pushups, just gotta do enough of em, and do a little bag work when you're done, you will not slow up at all.

larry holmes was completely against weight training he only did pushups and as a result he had the fastest jab in heavyweight history, if you wanted to argue someone who's was as quick you might throw in gene tunney but his inferior reach made holmes my #1 pick.

Does doing push up strengthens bicep muscles, too? And what about shoulder? How can one strengthen shoulder muscles without weights?

Not true. Lifting doesn't necessarily reduce your mobility, and may actually help....
