By the way, what gym in Baltimore are you from? I just moved here to Texas from Glen Burnie in March. Used to be a member of BXF & Owings Mills Boxing clubs. Worked out at Jake Smith's Baltimore Boxing for a lil while too.

No, you can't use the same gloves to spar that you hit the bag with. If you want to get used to your sparring gloves and get a better feel for them, just do you your shadowboxing while wearing them.

At my gym, we use the cheap slip on ones with no way of tieing it at your wrist on the heavy bag and for sparring, another one which I don't know the name, but they're very good.
