Do some strengthening exercises for your shoulders, it will takes time to make your shoulders strong enough to deal with such training.

Whenever you shadow box basically, punch upwards. That way it'll condition your arms/shoulders. Specially when fighting those taller than you.
A little trick I learned in mexican gyms.
edit- also, since you're using 18oz. It's no big deal. That should happen. Because naturally, you will wear smaller gloves for fights and as a result, your shoulders won't get anywhere near as tired.
