Can i get anything out of it?

I have been boxing for a year, where i did spar for 6 months, with mostly guys younger than me because i was the oldest. But i did alot of technique and bag work, pad work.

I right now do bag work all the techniques i learned, i have only been doing it for self defense. Beside that i do 3x10 deadlift bench or squat and then 5-10 circuit pullups dips pushups 3 x a week.

Will it do any good self defense vise ? I can do all the basics jab, footwork, hips all that.

This sounds like a trick question . Why would you feel any type of training isnt going to help for self defense ? If your questioning your ability of what you been doing, well only you know what you are capable of ,know one here knows you or trains with you. Any type of training will be better than none for self defense .

Most people are out of shape and don't train in any fighting art. So you are way ahead of them.

Do you do bench/deadlift/squat on the same days that you do pullups/dips/pushups?

          Hello thanks guys
i usually start my workout with: Shadow boxing 1x3 minute then 3x1 minute on heavy bag, and then 10x10 second heavy bag. After that Deadlift or squat or bench each trained one day a week, so 3 workouts every week. And then pullups and dips superset 5-10 x 10 reps until i can do 15 reps then i add weight.

That seems like a decent routine to me, something that will get you results but that you can also stick with and do regularly.

Being consistent with workouts is the most important thing. Some people try to take on very difficult routines but then quit because it's too hard to keep it up.

As far as self defense goes sparring is the best thing you can do in my opinion. It's hard to replicate that same experience and feedback if you are training on your own.

Yes sparring is the best thing, i just dont have the time to go out and find a club to train in, because my work and family life change really often, so i dont always know when and what time, i can go workout. So i though this would be fine, and i will advance when it get to easy with more time and drills boxing wise.

I think i will start up with my boxing drills, and then do calisthenics afterwards, i have a progression schedule for that. Time to get ripped and in shape and drop some weight, and be able to defend myself.

                Pull-ups
                Inverted rows
                Dips
                Push-ups
                Squats

Do 3 sets per each exercise and 5 sets of squats, doing as many repetitions as you can, stopping just before you hit muscle failure....Later on more challenging routine.
