    Diet Diet Diet

    your nutrition regimen is lacking

there are some people who can eat whatever they want to still be muscular lean and ripped, because they workout a lot and have a fast metabolism but most guys especially as they age they start getting some gut fat.

It comes down to your diet and your calorie intake as well as exercise. You need all three....

in my experience, I only get visible abs (as in, without flexing, abs visible just standing relaxed) when I get to <12%bf

For true effectiveness of losing weight and staying strong you need to first pack on muscle to increase your metabolism and how many calories your body requires, then eat balanced SMALL meals the size of a fist and a half between 5 and 6 times a day. For me I get some carrots, a fruit, and 2 boiled eggs for most of my meals. Drink LOTS of water too. Forget any other drink, water is your friend. Try to drink a gallon a day if you can. Remember to maintain your muscle too so that you can keep your required calorie amount up and succeed in keeping your intake below the calorie requirement.

            Great advice!
