I subbed jogging in for skipping and uphill sprints. Jogging is too boring IMO. I still shadow box daily though, especially if I'm trying to fix something a coach noticed.

Lately i been working on speed and doing 200m sprints.

timed mile at 7:02 on sunday. decent for 38
Pretty good for that age. I wish I could run to test myself but I have Osteochondritis Disechans and a huge Baker's cyst on my right knee. I ran a 10:30 2 mile as a kid (with competition/pacers) if I was outa shape and a lower 9's if I was in shape. I ran a mid- high 11's if I ran by myself and outa shape. When I was in Army basic training the running(and push ups and sit ups) was way too easy to get me in shape and my time didn't improve so I began running by myself when I noticed this dude named Acree start running on his own so he could beat me. He ran like a 12:30 on the first 2 mile. On the last run of Basic they didn't believe he had run 8 laps as fast as he did and made the poor guy run an extra. My leg was giving me major problems as it tended to do on occasion and I ran a 13:30ish(?). We were the 2 best runners and we both failed miserably on the last timed run. All that work for our showdown for nothing! LOL!

Yeah I usually do roadwork. The most I'll do at once is about 8 miles. I'm at a 6:30 minute pace.

I never shadow boxed really while running. Like, i'll shake my arms out like you would when boxing and maybe throw a jab when bored af but overall, not really.

I always ran where I live and I would also run to the gym instead of a vehicle. So cardio was always out of the way, as soon as I got to the gym.
