If you have that much muscle/strength you will be much stronger than the average boxer take it and run with it. Weight means nothing if you feel good at that weight, strong, and fast stick with it.
Unnecessary muscle doesn't do you any good in boxing, especially many football muscles. I have a few guys who played football in my gym and the extra weight was just more effort to move around in sparring. The upper body muscles for football are completely different from the ones in boxing. That's why you never see anyone built like Timothy Bradley - it's not really viable.

Ray Corso's advice is the best advice in this thread. Find yourself a gym and a good trainer. They'll guide you through the rest. Don't worry about losing the unnecessary muscle, because it should go away on its own with good diet and lack of use. You'll notice your boxing muscles, especially your shoulders and back, developing and getting stronger also.
