Hi all,
I'm trying to lose weight, I have a controlled diet, I weight train 3 days per week and hit the treadmill 3 days per week. I recently tried some jump rope and my calfs got destroyed, I still had a go the following day and they got even worse in terms of soreness and stifness. I then rested until they were completely fine and had another go, again they got sore quite badly.
I'm not sure if this is normal or how long I should keep going at it until I get used to it. The problem is while my calfs keep getting sore I'm unable to hit the treadmill until I'm fully recovered and also cannot do any weight training to hit my calfs.
I would like to let you know that the most I was able to jump rope before making a mistake is probably around 35 seconds and within a 30 minute period I was jumping rope for around 18 minutes.
Thanks in advance for advice etc...
