Boxing or school when it comes down to it

Im pretty good at boxing I want to be heavyweight champ.

I play football to im pretty good at that to.

Im a freshman my coach says Im going to have the size and speed to play in college and go D1.

But when I turn 18 I want to not go to college and turn pro.

My mom says Education should be Number 1#

and i will need school later in life .

    I feel like screw that

    it depends

do you see boxing as your life?

school can help guarantee a steady paycheck

boxers have to be very careful about the money they make, most don't end up becoming superstars

its not you that could accurately judge how good you are in boxing bro. i bet everyone who got into boxing felt like they were good at one point too until reality sat in.. school guarantees you success, boxing does not!

All I know is that every elder person tells me to stay in school, go back to school, become an engineer, doctor or something like that. They tell you this for a reason. They regret what they did in their life and they're giving you advice from experience. Your mother will never tell you to do something that will hurt you. She says education is number 1, some might disagree, but in the end your mother is correct. Not education alone, but combined with experience in your field, it pays off.

Don't see why you can't go to school AND box.

Try them both, Baby Bull did it. But remember being a successfull heavyweight right now is probably going to be the hardest thing to accomplish. If you're not a good body puncher, don't even bother.
