My new training technique! (Tell me what you think)

Ok, so I was finished with doing my exercises and went online to watch some Naruto, (Yes I like Naruto, sue me) and the episode had that Rock Lee character training himself out in the forest. Every time he got started with a new exercise, he always said something like,"If I can't do 200 push ups, I'll do 1000 punches!" or "If I can't do 500 jump ropes without messing up, I'll do 300 squats!"

Then it hit me. That strategy that he's using to train himself ain't all that bad... That whole "If I can't do X, I'll have to do Y!" workout. I looked all over the internet to see if it was a real workout, and found nothing. So I'm not all that sure about trying out for myself. So I want your say in this.

But we need a name for this workout, so until we find out what it's really called, so I'll call it..... ERROR AND PUNISHMENT!!!

    ... What'd ya think?

Well I can't do 200 push ups, and I can't do 500 jump ropes without messing up, and I can't do 300 squats so I guess at some point I would just die.

Well, I don't mean that you have to do 200 push ups. Maybe a reasonable number, like 50.

Hmmm. Not sure, but I'm confident everyone has a habit of doing this to some degree. Hence when someone works out and they can't do an exercise fully or for as long as they want, they don't give up and go eat a sandwich, they continue onto another activity. It's like discovering a wall electricity outlet doesn't work...do you just give up on plugging your TV in or do you find another outlet? Just saying.

It's sure nothing new. But if you want to make 200 push-ups, you better start lifting weights. Do some benchpress, shoulder exercises, triceps and biceps. Actually your whole body. I went fast from 50 to 105 push-ups that way, and man did it help me with sparring to gain those extra pounds.

So basically, you can only make it intense by failing purposely...

Well... Not really. What I'm saying is that you take your regular exercise routine, and then add on these challanges to push yourself. So if say that my coach wants me to do 50 push ups, but I fell or had to take a break around 40, I would have to do the last 10 push ups and the punishment exercise as well. See where I'm going with this?

If I can't do 15 pushups, I'll go get an Oreo Blizzard!
