    Heart rate training

Do any of you guys know how this works ?
I cant seem to pin the concept and for some reason its ridiculously hard to find much information about it...

So if i train in the aerobic zone - between 70% and 80% of my max heart rate, and i continuously train in this zone, i will see a significant increase in my aerobic capacity or endurance?
And further to that, if i train in the region of 80% to 90% which is the anaerobic threshold, and continue training at this rate, i will see an improvement in my ability to last in this zone?

If any of you guys know anything, please let me know.
Or if you have any decent links/books i could visit/buy then again let me know.

thats about right. think of your aerobic zone as dancing around and just moving around the ring. your anaerobic zone is when your defending and going on the offense. you use your aerobic zone to recover from your anaerobic zone. if you constantly just run long distances it will improve your recovery from burst amounts of energy but you cant increase that part of your recovery unless you train in that zone. for instances if you have someon that just does wind sprints for training they may gain decent distance in long distance running at low speeds but they wont make faster gains by training sprints. they have to train in that specific zone to increase that certain element. also you must train every aspect. just because you run a lot doesnt mean youll have limitless energy in the ring. you have adjust your body into using that stamina and recovery while boxing. do your mit work, bag work and especially sparring. sparring adds elements that you dont get while running. for instance, a guy across from you trying to take your head off. having a high level of stamina before sparring is always good and itll translate quickly as you get more and more rounds under your belt.
