    building explosive power

    what exercises can increase explosive power?
    i currently use residence bands, plyometrics and heavy bag but what other exercises can improve power?
    any advise would be aprecated.

    heavy leg weights,jumping touching your knees to your chest,side sit ups,pull ups with your arms far apart and palm facing away.But power is mainly provided through what way you throw a punch,if you twist everything into it like tyson for example.and the wider your legs are planted normally provides more power

      what do you mean explosive power,why do you want or need explosive power,what do you want to do with it if you gain it,explosive power is something that when gained has to be used in accordance with the geneva convention,has the chief of staff been notified of your desire to want or acquire explosive power,

          half of explosiveness comes from your mental game, a good chunk of it is genetic to. You can increase it a bit with workouts but if you are a slow and uncoordinanted person to begin with don't expect to be the next Manny Pacquiao or Tyson.

          Try this though: Relax your arms a lot when hitting the bag, then quickly snap your shots at the highest velocity you can, then relax again. Do this over and over until its second nature to you.

              What i do is **** my whole body back whilst throwing a jab and then spring up and KO

                turn your body into your punches

                also, try throwing a heavy medicine ball, at least 25 lbs, against a wall and catching it
