    Got dropped in sparring.

Came back from a hiatus from the sport. In the first week back, I went to spar with a professional 'boxer' friend who has an upcoming bout.

Round 6/7 he drops me with a body shot. The second time, I've been down from sparring, ugh. I feel embarrassed.

To be honest if you're coming back from a break, you did well to do 7 rounds with somebody who is in full fighting shape.

Holy ****. Second week back, actually. I didn't really grind or run in the first week. Just the basics.

But thanks for the comment brother, it made me feel a lot better.

Body shots happen man. If you were getting dropped to the head, I'd say build yourself back up to spar but you went 6/7rds with a pro who's been in the gym. Sounds to me like he got you when you were tired with an easily placed shot.

shouldn't be sparring with a pro especially in your first or second week back. you need at least a month to shake off the rust and get into sparring condition. you can be in great condition and that alone could be enough to keep you on your feet

Oh my god, he is a professional boxer so it is understandable that he would defeat a newcomer like you. You are also very resilient to complete 7 rounds. If you practice hard, I believe you will defeat that person soon. Hope you will come back in good shape!

Well keep in mind a professional is just a boxer who does it for money. Not all of them are really good. Boxing is an interesting sport it attracts good fighters from all venues, but heart is the most important factor that makes up a fighter - his or her competitive desire

you held 7 rnds with them good job get him next time
