How Effective Are Steroids To Boxers?

Excuse my total ignorance but I was wanting peoples views on this. Do steroids help in boxing?
    Does blood doping help?
ive never taken a steroid as they scare me and my family has a history of big heart attacks. But i wonder are they a thing that would help or hinder a top flight boxer? I have heard its used in mma and worlds strongest men use them. Would steroids improve the boxer or would they make them worse.
Just always wondered that as I am inclined to feel they would hinder a boxer.
    Thanks

I have never cared to use steroids, so I can not comment.

Either you put in the hard work on the daily or you cheat. I put in the hard work..............Rockin'

Yeah all those wrestlers dead in their 50s heart attack. But i was wondering if the effects of steroids help a boxer. Like enduranc, oxygen uptake to muscles.
as a kid i was told iron mike never did weightlifting as it slowed boxsrs down. Calisthenics is what they do like ali did it.
I know zero about steroids but wondered if they would help in the noble art.

I lifted weights for 2 years in the Ams, I did well during that time.

I was not bulking up though, many reps with lower weights. I got much stronger.

Funny thing with the weight lifting. It was an elective class that I took in High School and I was boxing at 119/125 at the time.

2 years later I was fighting in the Golden Gloves state tourny at 147, the Detroit region.

In this weight training class there were many of the football players. I squatted 320 at 17 years old and 147 lbs. More than a lot of the football players.

My legs were strong. I benched around 230 lbs. Those were good years with the boxing.

Sounds good so weight lifting is okay for boxers. High reps for endurance.

            I have no idea.

And I misspoke, I was lifting as much weight as I could. We'd run a mile and play soft ball, or something, every other day. I think stretching a lot helped. I'd lift around noon, finish school and then do a part time job after school (at a coin shop) dealing baseball cards and then go boxing at 7 pm. My schedule was packed...................Rockin'

Yea, a fighter doesn't have time for anything. They live a full life that most people are afraid to. Can't imagine the life these kids live these days.

It works for some fighters and not for others. Steroids won't help stamina and get you a better chin

Yes they help tremendously. whether it's strength speed reflexes endurance recovery you name it, steroids enhances it.
They made connor benn go from getting dropped at regional level with no power or anything going on for him into an absolute beast.

This would happen a lot with kids that just grew up though. Hearns couldn't bust a g**** in the AMs.

I think a small amount of something clean would help, like primobolan or simple trt. Anything heavy, no way. water retention through the roof, some of the guys today they might feel good but the ****s actually making them worse. just mentally they feel good.
