    do some forearm exercises. i had the same problem. get a 3 or 5 pound weight and lift it with just your forearm at the end of a desk. first with your palm facing forward, then facing down and finally with your thumb facing upward and lift it toward you. it really helps. after, drink alot of milk. i had ringside imf tech and after a while it started hurting my wrist. so i got some pro grant trainings and the wrist support is amazing...if you cant get gloves make sure your wrists and arms are aligned properly when punching..keep your thumb facing your body as much as possible. i found that to solve the problem also. hope it works for all of you

      Aye, give your hands a break for at least a week and then start doing wrist excercises. I had a lot of wrist-related problems and they always went away after I let them heal up and then strengthened them. Finally got my right wrist to the point where I can use heavy weights for shadowboxing and do hooks without pain and as well as for anything else. I couldn't use my right hook for a while thanks to that, but it's good now. Just put your arm against a flat surface, make sure the hand is a good ways off the edge with a weight and get that weight as high as you can with just the use of your hand and wrist and then as low as you can. If you're doing bicep curls try to do the same amount as you're lifting for that.

        you need to wrap better .... and buy icy hot or bengay and apply it on your wrist over night take a couple of days off from the heavy bag and you should be fine

          Was it on the pinkie side of your wrist?? I have this problem with both my wrists and it's doing my ****ing head in! How did you sort the problem out??

            Hand grips are great for strengthening wrists. I try and sqeeze the things about 300 times a day and my wrists are now very strong

              I've had bad wrist tendoniatis .I had a problem on the heavybag as well .It was too hard or there wasn't enough padding in the glove .I cut a circular sponge in half for my knuckle then done a mexican style wrap over it for bag work or maybe even 2 halfs .It's alright now problem solved .Put the sponge over the knuckles first then put the wrap through the fingers first to hold then around and wrist last.

                i have wrist pains too, i can't even throw the right hook anymore because it would hurt the wrist so much, however the straight right doesn't bother me at all. now I double wrap my hands, helps a little. I let it rest but everytime i think its healed and starting putting power behind my hooks, it would hurt again. I don't know wtf im going to do, once your hands are injured, boxing career is over.

                  As with most injuries, unless you've done PROPER damage, time can heel most things. The problem is though boxers are used to training on almost a daily basis and cant even get their head around stopping for a while. If someone is serious about a career in this sport they need to expect to down time as its brutal on bodies. Training though pain or injury is daft and can (and most likely will) cause even more damage.

                      weird as it sounds, it does heal and toughen up. Just takes a while. Proper punching technique helps though.
