I'd recommend using the winning gloves only for sparring, and getting another pair for heavy bag and mitts.

hmm, why use the Winnings only for sparring?

I actually use my Winnings for heavybag work and mittwork and my Grants training gloves for sparring only.

Stay away from Cleto Reyes if you're going to use them heavybag. I have some training gloves from Grant and they're okay.

i would have to agree, i had the reyes 16oz training gloves from ringside, couldnt really do bagwork with them. Try out ringside imf tech for your bag gloves and then use your winning for mit and sparring. You dont want to break down your winning on the bags since they cost more to replace. You dont want to injure your hands during bagwork so get a pretty decent protective glove that is ok for bagwork i.e ringside imf tech. As for grant idk if i could recoment them on the bags, they offer good support but the knuckle padding is a little shorted with alot of extra room in the pocket.

why do you say dont use cleto reys on the bag? is just because they are really hard??? also you said the grants have alot of extra room in the pocket, is the case the same with the reys? do they fit and mold your hand better than grant gloves???

ok ill break it down. Unless you have very large hands like 3in and higher across your knuckles with a closed fist then i wouldnt really recomend Reyes, they have a very wide pocket. As for using them on the bag, you will probably hurt your hands. if you stick your hand into the glove without making a fist (fingers straight) then you can feel there is a curve in the foam, it is hard to explain so i drew something in pait for you. It makes the contact on bags try to force the glove to bend downwards. I just wouldnt use them for anyonthing but sparring and mitts(again if you have big hands). They do mold to your hands, great gloves if you have the hand to fill them out. If you do have small hands and get them your thumbs will sit very very weird in them. Trust me not your glove unless you have big hands.

For the Grants there is alot of space inbetween your knuckles and the actual padding, if you wrap your hands with any type of pad on the knuckles you should be good. But i still wouldnt recomend them for bag gloves, these 2 types are for sparring. They will probably break down in less time then you are used to.

I would go with the ringside imf tech for your bag gloves and then just use winning for mitt and sparring.

This would be a side view of the reyes cut in half. The red would be the foam and the black is the leather.

                hope this helps
