Don't use your heavy-bag for speed, Get a heavy-bag to develope strength power and punch technique ... Use the speed bag, Double end bag, Punching with weights to develope speed.

Ringside waterfilled heavy bags
Water filled heavybags are great!
The Powair bags are discontinued, no longer available.
So i gave the ringside waterbags a shot, and they're great.
I use a ringside 170lb bag and you really got to give it a strong punch to make it swing, very realistic feel, and great on the hands.
Together with a pair of imf tech bag gloves, man,..its really great!

very good for delicate hands
some cheap bags are bad for wrist injuries though, it has something to with the side material of the bag

a 40 lb bag is great for speed, but really nothing beats a speed bag if u want to focus more on technique, it also lets u work on slipping the bag and head movement. all the bags in the gym are useful tools
