I'm a trainer myself, and it does get to you sometimes, but if I contemplated walking away everytime one of my boys got robbed, I'd be halfway to the moon by now. My point is, it happens. Sometimes a lot. If you want to last in this game, that is something you have to get used to dealing with.
I know but this **** was on a par with Jones Jr v Park Si Hun! I feel so bad for the kid, i doubt they will take the rematch. I was halfway through the ring ropes Roger Mayweather style

Believe me, I'm at that point at least 10 times every year...

read once, from a coach i think, that there are more politics in amateur boxing than there is in the pros.

not sure how true that is, but one thing we all agree on - robberies are killing the sport. and money and politics are at the root of why robberies happen.

hey paulie dont sweat it man, at the golden gloves here this year they only had 1 minute rounds even for grown ass men! you get to fight 2 minute rounds if your fighting for a championship to advance! so it should of been 2 minutes and all the guys from my gym trained for that, not 1 ****ing minute! me and another friend counted up the way they count and guess what? for one bout it was suppose to be 1 minute right? we timed it on my timer and it came up at 50 seconds! THATS BULL**** FOR YOU!

                holy **** 1 min rnds!!!!

even with my decapitated knee i fight one minute rounds with ease. and because of my aggrivated knee, i'm not even in the nest arobic shape. and you timed a 50 sec rnd? wow just wow! i really don't know what to say.

our shortest sparring sessions are 1:30/2:00 minute rounds.

i need to get into some of this abbreviated action. i used to think that the lowest am min per round was 2 minutes. this csn't be some new rule change, right? i mean there are still 2 or 3 min bouts, right?

i know our full contact MA tourny coming up soon has atleast 2 min rounds.

srry for spelling mistakes. i'm tired as hell right now.

one last thing, anyone near or in illinois, minnesota, and iowa should come down to madison, wi for the tourny. i'd love to meet up with some of the guys here.

Barely 50 seconds into the round the bell rang.....The crowd fell silent, the ref looked at the judges, the judges looked at the timekeeper, no one knew what was going on and after a few minutes the ref signalled the end of the fight, meanwhile the opposition wasted no time in removing his gloves. I knew as soon as that bell went we were being stitched up. Sure enough they gave him a majority decision and there was nearly a ****ing riot. I heard later that the timekeeper was affiliated to the boys club but this was not substantiated. It made me want to walk away.

how old was the lad you had fighting? i sometimes find that its kids who get robbed more often than adults in the ams, dunno if its just me but yeah

i havent been to many amateur shows but the ones i have seen seem like the decision is made on a coin toss. it's a realy ****ing shame. i wouldnt think scoring would be all that hard
