    epsom salt

im sore as hell, i can barely walk. Ive been doing some intense training at my gym. I went today limpin in because my ***in legs are so sore and my trainer told me to go home. He gave me a couple dollars and told me to by some epsom salt and take a bath in it. I did and it feels good while your in it but as soon as i got out i felt like **** again. Anyone know any ways to help out sore muscles, its mainly my calves, thighs, and stomach. Is taking a bath in ice cold water a way?

By the way, ive been training with Ray Oliviera, its easy to see now how that guy threw so many ***in punches and had that stamina. He TORTURES you in training. I was literally pinned on the ground being held while he slammed a medice ball againsty my stomach.

I remember I was sore in my legs the first couple weeks of boxing training. What really helped me was stretching. A lot of stretching. I would stretch 4 times a day - each stretching session would be 20 minutes. Only after doing that everyday would I begin to feel the pain in my legs go away.

The stretches that I did: 1) Hamstring stretch (bend down and touch your toes; hold for 1 minute)
    2) Calf stretch (each calf stretch for about 1.5 minutes)
    3) Quadricep (lie on the floor and bend your leg back so that your hell touches your ass - you should feel your quad stretching; did each quad for 1.5 minutes)
    4) Glutes stretch (look up stretches for this online because what I did is hard to explain on the internet)
    5) Hamstring (on the floor, both legs stretched out, reach for your toes; hold for 1 minute. I got to the point where I had my forehead touching my kneecaps during this stretch because I did it so frequently)

Try doing stretches and see how your legs feel. Most likely it's just your legs not being used to that kind of strenuous activity. Good luck man.

I stretch all the time, especially before a work out. Ive been boxing for years. Ive just never worked out like this. This trainer, Sucra Ray, is ***in intense man. Ive never been this sore before in my life. I might have to skip training tomorrow. Not because I want to but because i literally can barely walk. I think working out will do more damage than good.

Mate getting a medicine ball thrown at your stoumach is seriously bad news, you do realise you have internal organs behind there. Much better ways to work the abs. Try L-glutamine in your post workout protein shake, seriously can't say it enough.

What benefit does L-glutamine have on the abs? Is it not just the same as having some whey powder?
