    Want To Start Training MONDAY

We'll i've been in alot of street fights and haven't loss one. Although I know street fighting and boxing is TOTALLY different just wanted to give myself a big head .

Any how I really want to train hard and fight AM and if time permits go PRO. Here is a little about me.

I'm 5'5" 150 lbs soaking wet (on a good day), I'm from Daytona Beach, Florida area. I'm also 27 years old, and thats the thing that scares me. I have alot of heart though and think If I train hard, focus, and discipline myself I might be able to do something.

My thing is where should I start. Also what kinda nutrition/diet should I be working on (if you can point me to a website for this that would be great)

    Thanks in advance.

I'm looking to start my training tomorrow.

Find a gym and train to your complete limits as often as you can.

I cant say much abou nutrition but i gatat tell you that you should do a lot of running, about 3 miles a day or so if you can. This will build up stmina however do not try to start boxing at home as you will most probably develop bad habits. Good that you are going to a gym..

What I was thinking about was actually walking to the gym everyday and then jogging back after training. I know I will be beat and might not make it the first few times but after a week or 2 I'm sure I'll be able to. It's about 1.79 miles from my house depending on which way I go.

As far as training at home I wouldn't dare try that. I've already got some bad habits from street fighting and I don't need to pick up anymore.

So let me ask you this, how do you actually start to boxing at an amateur level? What does it really take and I've heard the matches are shorter aswell.

                your 27 years old.

You need to run. Constantly.. Run and do a massive amount of push-ups.. after you learn the punches shadow box as often as you can..

Put everything your trainer says in your heart.. ask questions.. learn as much as you can.. Fight as often as possible after you get started.

Start shadow boxing like 20 mins in the morning.. watch lots of boxing.. drink loads of water...Don't slack on any of your training.

look to be pro by 30... I would say. and give it 5 good years and see where it takes you.

You could be a champion. But the work load for that to be accomplished is going to be massive.

                  good luck mate.
                  one quick thing though,
you are quite heavy for your height, try and lose at least 10 lbs, because you are realistically too short to fight at light middle.

I'm heavy? Wow I've been trying to put on weight. I'm usually 142 but been eating more. So what weight class would you suggest I focus on for my height?
