there's no debate, all the legends on lewis's resume were at least 5 to ten years past their prime. prime holy would have lit him up, prime tyson would have knocked him out. prime bowe would have ****ed him up. if lewis fought tyson from 86 to 92 he would have been killed. lewis was the benefit of a huge frame and being a late bloomer. he was nothing during the golden age of the late 80's early 90's of bowe, holy, tyson and foreman/. he would have gotten knocked out then. he was good but faced all his stiff comp after their primes.

Holmes had a great chin, fighters dont lose that overnight. Tyson destroyed him.
Bruno rocked both Tyson, and Lewis, but they were both not at there best.

I just think Tyson fought guys who were faster than Lewis, with better chins than Lewis. Lewis had big punches, and was technically very good, but wen was his prime?
Against Ruddock wen he was faster and lighter, or later wen he was heavier agaisnt Holyfield?

I dont think Lewis could keep Tyson off. Tyson knew how to get past a long jab. And it would only take a short left hook to hurt Lewis, like he did to Berbick.
no your right leiws couldn't keep tyson off so it would be like the first round of the actual lewis tyson fight; lewis would stick him with jabs and crosses then yson would come in, lewis using his strength would tie him up, ref calls a break this would repeat untill tyson tired. lewis was a smart fighter and could deal with tyson even if he was in his prime

Why "accent"? Is this a Brit thing, brother?

I disagree that prime Bowe would have beat Lewis... okay, it's different, but Lewis still has a "W" on his (amateur) record against Bowe, and it was Bowe that ducked Lewis in the most inglorious way.

Like I said in the opening thread, this is more a hypothetical match-up, because it's unfair to compare a prime Tyson with a green Lewis.

None. Only possible contenders include former Light Heavyweight Spinks, a nearly 40 Larry Holmes, and er... Frank Bruno.
